Hi! Not pro or anything in FB marketing, just been thinking about the most harmful way of handling the ads. As far as I understand, MW and his buddies are paying for those ads per click. So would it not be ~best if we all clicked on the banners when ever we saw them, and doing that used up their budget? If the fans can spend their ad budget, it would keep the banners from being shown to normal other people? There must be some other sides to this, but like I said, not savvy enought to know. Does anyone else ? An advertiser can buy Facebook ads in two different ways ---- Cost Per Click (CPC) done by bid -- the current minimum CPC (cost per click) is $0.01. Cost per thousand impressions (CPM) minimum bid is $0.02. Based on the nature of the campaign -- my bet is that they are paying CPC rates so click thru before you report the banner. Thanks for your response Q3. I agree, that they are probably paying CPC. And probably at a higher than minimum bid. Do you know, if the ad shows to again, if a person clicks it once? I mean we have shut down so many servers, etc. I'm sure we could spend their whole budget, and end the campaign, if enough people just clicked the ads as many times, as possible.

Well, if the word on the street is true, wouldn't it make sense for Adam to work with Nile in NYC where he lives? Or meet with RCA to pick his single???????

It depends on how the buy is set up but usually at the beginning of a campaign like this, it is a daily buy. So probably impossible to have that big an impact by clicking thru. But it might make people feel better. It should show up again depending on the campaign criteria they are using. Fans could bid up the Adam inventory and run a "Do not buy" campaign but it would probably cost a bit to do it. I think the money would be better spent with a donation to a worthy cause.

Well, for what it's worth, the "so you think you can drag" show takes place only a few blocks from RCA headquarters, so if he was in the neighborhood...

eri9, I was so.... when I saw your iTunes NZ post, that I scooted off over there to look for myself. Anyways, I just left this there and hopefully it will get approved and posted on the page *fingers crossed* I just felt that I had to do ~something. THIS IS NOT THE NEW SINGLE This is NOT Adam's new single!!! He was blindsided and only just found out about this release 2 weeks ago. This single and the album are actually Citizen Vein tracks, a band Adam was with FIVE years ago. The people releasing this album are trying to make a quick buck on the tail of Adam's fame and cashing in on the OFFICIAL promo which is about to begin. \o/ PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS and put money in these scoundrels pockets. Adam's OFFICIAL new single will be out in November and his new album in early 2012. Here are his tweets on the matter. adamlambert Adam Lambert Beg For Mercy project is same as 'Take One'. some songs I worked on 5 yrs ago and never finished. This release comes as a surprise to me... 7 Oct adamlambert Adam Lambert It is NOT what I'm currently working on, nor does it reflect my artistic vision. Some folks will do anything to make a buck. Fuck. 7 Oct There is also a second album about to be released called the Paramount Sessions - which is also bogus. adamlambert Adam Lambert @zombiewriter_ the paramount sessions is the same situation. I don't even know who steve Cooke is. 7 Oct adamlambert Adam Lambert I think both projects were mastermind (but I mind) by Malcolm Welsford. 7 Oct Well done @catz! Great post - I hope it gets approved. I see two other people (including lidbud on twitter) have commented - I did too, but not sure if it went through - will keep an eye out. Earlier today it had dropped to #114 but is now up to #93! At least with NZ's small population it only takes a very small number of people buying it for it to climb but is still SO ANNOYING!!!!! I hope all this BS brings more urgency to his ACTUAL single being released!!! ETA: I guess the silver lining is that there is obviously still interest in his music which bodes well for the REAL #2! :-/
