Just finally listened to the Neil Rodgers interview that was mentioned here earlier. www.pbs.org/wnet/tavissmiley/interviews/musician-producer-nile-rodgers/?show=10077#top Found it totally interesting. Lots of music biz discussion. No Adam mention. It's 23 minutes long, so fill up your wine glass and enjoy the chat. Adam and Neil have a lot in common. Neil also is somebody who can talk for ever and does have a lot to say. But the interviewer is great too. Did not understand everything, but was certainly worth the listen. Believe you are talking about Nile not Neil. Funny, for days I was calling Nile Niles... ETA~ And yes, great interview! |

Great interview though, I watched it earlier. I bought the book but haven't started it yet cause I'm reading Ricky Martin's right now and it's a library book so I have to finish it first. |

Okay, I've finally figured out why I'm so drawn to AFL and it's this hair discussion that made me realize it. He's got nerve. He's unafraid. Traits I wish I had but not in this lifetime. I'm not keen on this current hairstyle but I'm keen on his ability to wear it, own it, detractors be damned. That goes for his hair, his makeup, his clothes, his music choices. If we could all be so fearless. Well, maybe not all of us. It takes fearless and fearful, tenors and baritones, blondes and redheads, lefties and righties....uhhh, male and female, Finnish and American...uhh...country and pop...uhhh...you get my drift. And I'm drifting folks, really drifting.  Seriously, though, do any of us have his nerve??? Hats off to you if you do. I love your post soooooooooooooooo much! Especially the red parts!

I forgot to mention how interesting I found this interview. Thanks to whoever brought it over. I'm going to get his book because I think he tells his stories very well. Oh, and today I found one of his CHIC LP's from 1980 (he really looked young) and I bought it to hang up with all my other LP collection. |

virg - where is the first picture from? I don't remember that look at all ??? Not sure. Anyone elso know where this is from? Full picture  Not 100% sure but I think it was in Sweden the day their buses came in. |
