Among all the hair/boot talk there really have been interesting posts of late that have given me a day of evolving thoughts about what kind of a fan I am and the magic of this man.
I've never been a fan of anyone before so since this new interest of mine (Adam) turned into full on obsession I've really been questioning what in my life must be missing for me to try to fill in the blanks with him. This morning when I read the post about taking a step back from superfandom next time around, I agreed--surely that would be the more reasonable and productive thing to do.
Later when I was blasting GNL in my car between responsibilities, I was reminded of how special Adam's powers are. Nothing lifts my spirits, inspires, energizes and turns me on more than his music. I am not a musically knowledgeable person but I know that every note he sings has been thought out to bring maximum effect on the listener--I can not listen without rewinding parts of each song in awe.
Could I go back to being only an active fan of the music and not the man? Tonight I returned to ATop and enjoyed myself so much. Pictures of Adam and Sauli warm me with the joy of love and have proven to me how love can be different and yet the same. Adam's tweets to Perez Hilton had me laughing with pride at his boldness and eloquence. Then the video of Adam in his car proved his unashamed emotion as he admitted to crying on stage--then to prove even further the extent of his compassion, he asked if JLo was ok. This man is truly beautiful inside and I am so drawn to his heart.
Joining the community was made me feel less of a "freak" and part of something great. The fan tweets to Perez made me laugh and feel proud to be one of many Adam defenders. And yes, I have a "soccer mom haircut" but the diversity of this group makes me less likely to question what a middle aged, married mom is doing in love with a young, flamboyant, gay, rock star. When Adam tweeted that he adores his fans, I realized that he was talking of me as well. Wow!
So maybe the first post of today is where I am back to. My favorite line from an Adam song is "once I'm in I own your heart" because it is true, he owns my heart and for so many reasons. So I'm gonna stop questioning what it is about me or about him and just except the beauty of it and be that obsessed fan. I guess he is just my shaman! I'll shut up now!

adamlambert Adam Lambert @perezhilton sucks when folks don't check their facts first huh? Sorry. 2 hours ago in reply to ↑ PerezHilton Perez Hilton @adamlambert All good. I stand behind my critique and suggestions for Stacy. And behind my opinions of Adele! xoxo 4 minutes ago eta: LOL, Perez went from "WE ARE NOT FRIENDS" to x's and o's in RECORD TIME. Perez is a bit bipolar that way (quite often) :

Glitztripper I really enjoyed your post. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us. Adam is my first fan stanning, too. I've finally just given up understanding why I became such a fan of AFL. Now I just enjoy my commitment to this man and let everyone who'll listening know that Adadm is an enormously talented, geniune, and good person.

Haha, I was just about to comment that the worst thing about that haircut is actually the discussion about it, when I read Chunkey's essay and I really loved that. That's was fun...and without the Gump cut, we would have never gotten that essay. So thank you Adam for the 'buzz' you are creating during the down times! lol Wanted to comment on the Neil Blog, money comments, etc from last few pages. I think it is important that we really allow Neil to keep this blog separate from Adam's business. I am totally glad to see on negativeneil.com that nobody so far has posted as an Adam fan. Everybody stayed on topic and talked about the video or the issues at hand. Hope it stays that way or that Neil cleans that off quickly should it ever rear it's head! That blog serves a bigger interest of a certain movement in this country right now and it does not have anything to do with Adam. Nobody who posts there will have any 'in' with Adam, I don't think that anyone who posts there does expect anything except political dialog and if people want to donate there, I am sure they do so because they care about the 99 movement or the blog or whatever. But saying that they do it for Adam is in my mind not only invalid, it is also unfair. I am totally happy to see Neil develop this, have been thinking for a while that he would be ideal for this kind of front-line reporting which is needed right now. I think this movement is here to stay and its story-line and agenda is only evolving, as his first video makes quite apparent. I also completely understand that Neil did not want to start this out with his own political commentary, but rather let others do the talking. He wants to first establish his blog and see who shows up and what responses he gets. Seems totally smart to me. Also, the movement first needs to be heard of. Obviously, the fact that he has this many followers so quickly is due to his inherited fame, but his blog needs to stand on its own political feet, if it is to be successful. So he set it up in such a way that nothing points to Adam. Adam tweeted to acknowledge it, so they are not making a secret out of it, but he also indicated that he will stay out of it, that politics is not his thing. Smart all the way around. But now I think it is our job as Adam fans to respect the chosen set-up too, which means we should not take our Adam related fears or money worries or hair appointments over there either. On to other things. Love those month by month reviews. Thanks tigerlily. So much is happening every month and it is fun to relive it in fast forward mode like this. I would not have remembered a tenth of this. Lots of flashback moments. Finally - fourth topic: Why are we biting peoples heads off, just because they don't know who Stacey is? Do we have to watch X-factor to be allowed on this message board now? Just checking whether I am defaulting on some new obligations I was not aware of????? !!! THIS !!! Can't get into hair drama... and respect Neil and the reporting which needs to be done. Hoping for new music soon:
