That was fun! Especially loved the beginning -- the little head nod after the "oh yeah" -- then the finger snapping with that absolutely dismissive hand wave to the witches and demons. LOL Still trying to figure out if he says situation instead of shit. Loved the mic stand toss -- but then I wondered where it got to. Ha ha just disappeared! Superpower!

I downloaded the google drive video and Adam appeared relaxed and sounded wonderful. That said, since I have imprinted on his voice, I could hear some very extremely minor strain. He did not seem to lightly fall on some of the notes as is his habit. I could be wrong and was just too hyper-focused. However, there is not a doubt in my mind that the general public listening would have even noticed. Adam looked extravagantly beautiful. I agree... he was slightly off (flat) on ”fall,” “wall,” “run” in the first chorus especially. I think it’s going to be a hard song to sing perfectly live. I also agree that the general public won’t notice what we might. It doesn’t seem typical that he seemed to be having to push so much though. And yeah, there were definitely backing tracks. But I think that’s usual for those types of TV appearances. I’m always amazed he remembers to sing the “clean” lyrics, haha! We’re just nitpicking- he sure did look great! I’m really looking forward to that live studio Superpower video that’s coming out tomorrow!

Maybe you’re onto something. I thought at first it was “itch” but that didn’t make much sense (“this itch ain’t okay”?). This “sitch” sounds more like it!

I have to say, that after a period of not knowing if there was something wrong with Adam, and wanting him to be okay, it is so gratifying to see this spectacular return. And to see fans loving and appreciating this performance and his good looks, lol. It is a thing of beauty. I hope he feels all the love.

Adam looked gorgeous. Great colors, great movement, great funk.
As for the music and the vocals..... here is what I hear.
First off, there is a lot of backing track used. There are times when I definitely hear more than three voices (allegedly his and two backing singers). His voice is also doubled (at least) in the chorus. To make up for the fact that his falsetto doesn't have much power or weight? I suspect there was also a lot of instrumental backing as well, tho' I couldn't see the "musicians" close enough to tell what if anything they were actually playing.
During the first verse there were repeated pitch problems. So much so that I suspect he might not have heard the backing or his vocals in the monitors? The pitch got better as the song went along, and the bridge was on the mark. I also heard a couple of notes that sounded like his voice cracked or bobbled slightly. So, not his best vocal performance.
Why? Like I said, maybe problems hearing. Also, the melody jumps up and down between his different registers with quick, abrupt staccato notes. That requires very precise adjustments on the fly. No chance to correct if he doesn't hit it square on. In my opinion, it does not play to his vocal strengths.
Still, a visually compelling performance that makes you want to dance. And, the girls on the platforms gyrating reminded me of go-go dancers of the 60s and 70s. Made me smile.
