Q3, always the voice of reason. Thank you. Adam/Queen makes no sense whatsoever.

Seriously -- if given the choice between Adam doing his own music or even a Queen cover, there is no choice for an artist with a new release on the horizon - it would be sooooooooooooo much betterer if it was his music.

Multiple guest vocalists is a good guess. And to the question of why no !!!! Maybe it's supposed to be a surprise and he's keeping it close to the vest as possible while giving us a heads up. He knows we would be pissed if he performs and we found out after the fact? That's my theory and I'm sticking to it. yeah, I agree with you that it's not worth reading into the punctuation, that's why i laughed at myself. Gaga just recently opened the VMA's with "You and I" with Brian May backing her on guitar. There has been rumor (not realistic) articles about Brian May wanting her to front Queen doing the rounds in the gossip press last month based on an interview he gave at the BMI awards). She also dueted with Tony Bennet memorably on a classic, not her own song. Of course Gaga's in her own league, but I just don't buy that singing onstage with Queen would at all hurt Adam's marketing/PR to young pop fans. If Gaga and Adam end up in the same room it will be the first time since The Cupcake Affair ;D ??? Seriously, if they do chose to have Adam sing with them it would be a great full circle moment. Freddie insisted on calling the band Queen even when others thought it would be too risky. How fitting it would be to have one of the first mainstream openly gay and very theatrical singers who is most importantly is one of the few people on earth who could match the insane vocals of Freddie be one of the people paying tribute. If Adam isn't a part of this life will go on but I imagine even non Glamberts would appreciate this hypothetical moment and how todays "queens" are more and more able to live their lives in the open. I think it would make Freddie smile.

Most kids in high school love old classic rock bands. They love to "discover" music we have known for years. Believe it or not, they enjoy the music of groups like Queen, Journey, Beatles, etc. Yes, they love the pop hits and the rap crap that is currently on the radio, but they still appreciate some of the music from the past. (Glee has helped with this. ) My DD was born in 1992 and she knows many of Queen's greatest hits, as do her peers who are around the same age. I spend a large part of my life tracking the likes and knowledge of 15 to 29 year olds -- this is just not true. When asked about classic rock, they say things like... "my dad loves.....". Even Adam learned about Queen from his dad's albums. Adam said his single will explode in November. I believe it will explode in November. My sites are solely on his NEW NEXT music. It is true. This generation of young people know Queen, Beatles and Journey. It is not just their Dad's music. It is the music that, over the past three years, has made it to the top 10 on iTunes after the kids on Glee sing one of their songs. I've spent a large part of my time with actual 15-21 year olds over the past few years. They know who Queen is. One of the fraternities serenaded DD's sorority recently. One of the songs they sang was "Fat Bottomed Girls". How did these college boys know that song? I love this post! ITA, if it doesn't happen...so be it, but it is a nice dream!!!!!

Adam DID perform with Queen........over 2 years ago. Big thrill for him then, but now HIS music must prevail. He did covers of so many greats on Idol, but that was then , this is now. I agree with Q3, why should he regress instead of go onto NEXT !!!!!

Bruno Mars did a tribute for Amy Winehouse at the VMAs and people talked about it for days! Tributes have taken place on shows like this for longer than Adam has been alive. No one thinks less of an artist for performing a tribute to one of the greats. Wasn't it last year at the Grammys that the five women did a tribute to Aretha? I think it was Florence, Christina, Martina, Yolanda and Jennifer Hudson. ???

I don't think Adam is performing with Queen at the EMAs. But, if he were, there is no way I could see it as anything but amazing and a big win! I see nothing negative about it because it would be a Tribute performance. Awards shows do them all the time. More importantly, the UK would actually get to see an amazing singer and maybe get their "reality TV bias" sticks out of their asses! (Sorry, UK members!) That being said, there has already been a lot of publicity about Gaga and Queen performing, so I think that is the performance Shoshanna is talking about. I also don't think Adam's tweet was in support of Europe MTV. I don't think he would tweet unless he is doing something.

I agree with Q3, why should he regress instead of go onto NEXT !!!!! In my mind it's not an either/or, but an option for both? Obviously (if we hold to his last statement) lots of promo of his own new music will be coming soon, if it is delayed, this is a nicely visible spot to keep him noticed. ETA: yeah what tigerlily says about tributes. It's the brightest sparks of the new skool honoring the legends and a mark that the industry respects your skills. ETA2: Also, I won't be surprised if Gaga does perform with Queen, I expect it. I think Shoshanna is probably talking about one of her clients at the EMA's though, and she has already clarified that it isn't Britney.
