Somehow I am not devastated by the news of the delay. There is a silver lining- two, in fact: 1) No December freeze to interfere with his skyrocketing trajectory. 2) The hairstyle will have changed before he does his promo appearances.
[/b] LOL. Be careful what you ask for. ;D ;D [/quote] I second both of you. And I'll up you one. I'm interpreting his tweet about "I be native for perry Friday" as a dare. Yep, I'm planning on seeing a native mohawk.

anjalee I'm the last person in the world who will leave this fandom, I NEVER angst, NEVER. I'm saying this because I want to comment on your post. Gaga and Madonna were already big stars when they did 2 years break. HUGE difference IMO when you already established a great fan base, so I can totally understand, although I don't feel this way, the people who are worried, not because they are not going to listen to new music, but because they're worried for Adam if his new album will be a smash hit. Just a comment, I repeat everyone who knows me, knows that I will wait for ever. Hi gelly, I really appreciate people who are worried because Adam is not established, and they are scared his fanbase will dminish. I must admit im worried if he doesnt have the songs that showcase his talent on his new album - thats why i want him to take his time (to a point). I want his stuff to go to number one! The people i dont get so much are those who are bored and want more stimulation from adam and want it now and then put pressure on him by acting like he's let them down somehow. that "aww you promised!" attitude. promises are made to be broken in the creative world cos the muse is fickle. She doesnt give under pressure. It would make his album worse if he allowd those people to pressure him I know A LOT of fans in this fandom of all personality types, and I don't think I know ONE who wants new music purely for their "own stimulation." They want it because they are heavily invested in Adam personally and emotionally and only want the absolute best for him. Also, because we are so invested, we have been locked into a state of limbo and unknowing and I think most of us just want that to end and get the show on the road and hear all this fantastic new music he's been telling us about for MONTHS. We want to be a part of the ride, not the little kids left at home being told, "It's not your turn yet." And also, many of us are artists, writers, musicians and professionals – or work or live with them closely and we "get" the creative process. Many of us have been working with it since longer than Adam has been alive. We also get legal entanglements, timing logistics and corporate mergers. We do not live in a vacuum where our only existence is to be a fan of Adam's. I've been listening to FYE for two years with very little fatigue; it is an excellent album that was written in a few months. Some of the best work is done on the fly for an artist – this is where instinct and guts take over and you don't have the luxury of second-guessing. Am I glad he's had this time to enjoy the process? Certainly. I just don't believe extended periods of time result in a better product. Many of these songs (we know by their working timelines) are written in a day or two, recorded in a day or two and finished up here and there. They are turned around very quickly on the average. Now, I do believe launching a worldwide marketing campaign takes a tremendous amount of time and logistics – not to mention meeting and greeting with tons of "gatekeepers" – PDs, editors and producers. That I totally understand. All I ask is that he keep us updated. If it's not going to happen, tell us. We've dealt with three different single delays so far. Were we frustrated, disappointed and crushed? Yes, for a few days, but we picked up and moved on and kept going. Taking forever to rip off the bandage does NOT make it better for anyone.

I am going to be very unpopular for posting this, but it came up on my google alerts. (he used good pic though) perezhilton.com/2011-11-08-adam-lambert-being-sued-and-may-never-have-been-eligible-for-american-idol#.TrlPu0Oa9tMAdam Lambert Getting Sued!!!Not good! A lawsuit has been filed against Adam Lambert, claiming that he was NOT eligible to compete on season eight of American Idol. According to the suit, he was "under a Music Services Agreement and a Co-publishing Agreement from a company he worked with prior to hitting it big on Idol," and he "violated the company's rights in his mega-selling post-Idol career." Ouchie! The drama all started up when Adam's alleged former label, Colwell Platinum Entertainment, began marketing a new Lambert album called Beg For Mercy without his knowledge. As a result, Adam's reps forced Amazon.com to remove the album from sale, which caused Colwell Platinum to fight back against the Idol alum. Hopefully you've got some fantastic lawyers, Adam! These allegations against you are pret-ty serious! What do U think? Was Adam Lambert NOT eligible for American Idolwhen he competed???

I think when Adam uses the word "project", he's just referring to the typical music cycle of releasing his album and planning/going on tour, etc. I think the single will show up maybe in February, and the album in April... So, FIVE MORE MONTHS. [... sucks with a vengeance on valium lolly...] Oh, you are probably right. Pass me one of those lollies, please. I'll take that and a full pipe. I'll be fine. I'll be fine I'll be fine I'll be fine' i'll be fine.........

This is exactly why Welsford used Idol in his lawsuit. Idol has NOTHING to do with him! Nothing! It is not a lawsuit matter! But, for Welsford, it's the Idol attachment that is making it news worthy.

Guys, as far as I can tell, not ALL THAT MUCH has changed here, unless I'm missing something (perhaps, Q3, you know something with your taunt tease guess about Feb/Apr? )... Given the UK peeps talk of "January" and "early next year" it seems quite possible to me that the album release date hasn't changed and could still be as early as February, and they've only pushed the single back to the new year as well, now. Well, back when we were expecting a Feb/March album and a November single everyone was worrying about the big time gap between single release and album release--this just moves those two closer together. No biggie. And at least we have some new goodies to play with between now and then: Outlaws of Love, Queen Medley, even things like Cam's Dreamer. HOWEVER: gotta be honest, I see all these posts saying things like "you think we're upset, just imagine how Adam must feel" and "we have to be there for him in this difficult time" and all I can think is "yeah, yeah, yeah, POOOOR ADAM has HEARD THE FUCKING MUSIC grumble grumble no sympathy!!!) >:( No, but seriously, when I saw his tweets before bed last night I thought Oh Nos and quickly hopped onto twitter to see his @ replies, and I've never seen a less whiny, more patient, encouraging, worry-free series of tweets. Fandom did good last night. And today, too. No wonder he fucking loves us. eta: meant to say, too, that what lizziegs wrote a ways back made a lot of sense to me, too. Yes, yes, he loves us. I and 1.2 million other fans were very supportive last night, of course. And today, with him the support continues, but here, with my friends, I am impatient and working to a place of peace about this latest delay. Love is good, grand in fact. I still need the music. On the other hand, great interview with Hicklin and fab dl's for my iPod.
