mahaila--Sorry bb, the last thing I want for Adam is Broadway. I want albums and shit. Maybe a special perf singig with the Met Opera or something...but not a broadway show. I dunno if he would want that himself at this point...unless he has no other options. But I dont see that happening OMG! I am not the only one dreaming about Adam with the Met Opera!!! Chunkeeeeeey!!!!!!! Re Olympics with Queen: YES!!! only I want them to do some Queen songs and a couple of Adam#2 songs - so Adam does not come across as a front man performing Freddie songs only, but as an artist he is!

Ooooooo I dunno. I'd LOVE that, but don't most Olympics use entertainers from their own countries?(maybe I'm wrong, but in Vancouver it was all about The Canadians)....Paul Rodgers would make more sense. IMO Queen is a British band and that's good enough. It's their call who sings and (again IMO) immaterial as far as the singers nationality. I agree. And yes, while national pride is a priority, Sarah Brightman performed at the Beijing opening ceremonies. The bar has been set so high after Beijing that IDK if the producers would use that as a sticking point anymore. Especially with the example of Queen, when they can so easily say, "Look, guys, we've been looking for an exceptional lead singer for 20 years from a worldwide pool – it's not all that easy to find one that is going to bring the W.O.W. factor and the pressure will be ON to have that. If we were talking about a larger band, or choir, dance troupe or orchestra – would it be enough for the orchestra to be UK-based and not that every member be British? Gets to be kind of a slippery slope there.

Without a doubt, the dramatic opening. Adam in silhouette. Then the voice! OMG! I see I am not the only one who burst into to tears. It was such a beautiful way to start the song and is such a hauntingly beautiful song. The entire song is my favorite part. I have this performance saved on 2 TVs and 2 computers. It is in 4 rooms of my house! ;D Plus I made 2 DVDs as back up! I am so far down the rabbit hole, there is no getting me out, ever!I wonder how many of us burst into tears when we saw Adam in that silhouette? As soon as I saw that and the stage set-up, I realized this "tribute" was going to be all Adam with Queen. No one else was coming out. Anyway, I don't WANT to get out... and BTW, yes, the opening, yes, the tears, yes, only Adam, yes DVD... and mys*&@^#r, can you please leave my head. TY.

Favorite parts of the performance?? Oh, Lordy. I agree with the others that the beginning was breathtaking visually, thematically, and vocally. When he started singing I had one of those "oh!" moments. I have never heard him sound so strong and powerful. It was at a higher level than ever. Later, when he sang, "I've had my share of sand kicked in my face, but I've come thru" .... the pose with fist raised, the sustained note at the end with such fierce power.... divine. Loved his strut down the ramp. Loved him leading Brian May out. Loved the backwards walk with a bow. Oh, hell, Adam, that performance was EPIC. If ever that word was appropriate, it was that evening.

Thank you!! www.amazon.com/Need-Know-About-Music-Business/dp/1439153019/ref=ntt_at_ep_dpt_1This is very interesting too. Adam's attorney Donald Passman has written what is considered to be "the Bible" of the recording industry and after reading this overview on Amazon, I have to wonder if Adam read this when he first started down this path. I DO think he likely read it at some point: Series: All You Need to Know About the Music Business | Publication Date: November 17, 2009 Since the advent of file-sharing technology in the late 1990s, the music industry has been challenged to reinvent itself. What has it done? How have the record labels repositioned themselves to cope with these massive changes? How does all this affect creative artists? No one understands the music industry -- from the technology, to the legalities, to the new industry practices -- better than veteran music lawyer Donald Passman. In this completely revised and updated seventh edition of All You Need to Know About the Music Business, which the Los Angeles Times called "the industry bible" and which has sold hundreds of thousands of copies over the last eighteen years, Passman offers executives and artists, experts and novices alike the essential information they need not only to survive in these volatile and exciting times, but also to thrive.Drawing on his unique, up-to-the-minute experience as one of the most trusted advisors in the industry, Passman offers new information on:
- The new 360 model of record deals, wherein record companies share in nonrecord revenue - The Copyright Royalty Board's latest decisions regarding online transmissions - The developing customs on new technologies such as streaming on demand, ringtones, and digital downloads - Updates on recording and publishing deals, as well as film music He also gives guidance on fundamental issues, such as how to:
- Select and hire a winning team of advisors -- personal and business managers, agents, and attorneys -- and structure their commissions, percentages, and fees in a way that will protect you and maximize these relationships - Master the big picture and the finer points of record deals - Navigate the ins and outs of songwriting, music publishing, and copyrights - Maximize concert, touring, and merchandising deals Everyone in the business -- musicians, songwriters, entertainment lawyers, agents, promoters, publishers, managers, record company executives -- is scrambling to figure out what's going to happen in the future, and Passman is in the thick of these changes. Anyone interested in a music career will need this comprehensive and crucial guide to making it in one of the world's most dynamic industries.

Susie, I saw that at MJ's the other day, posted by one of the attorneys who is a member there. It was at that point that I stopped worrying about the lawsuit. This person said, there isn't anyone Adam could have who is better or more qualified to represent him!

It was posted, but not that large, Tina. Thanks! So, first, I hope Adam thinks Feb or early to mid March is Spring! Shoshanna said he'd be back in London in January, so I'd have to think the single the end of January and album sometime in March. April would be too far for an album to come out after a January single. Secondly, I don't think we are going to see Ryan Tedder on this album. That makes me happy! Sounds like he really made a 180 on this album from beginning to completion. I'll bet the album Alisan heard isn't even the one that is coming out!

Okay guys, you've convinced me that Queen and Adam at the London Olympics is a strong possibility....and now (thankyou very much) I'll be disappointed if it doesn't come through!
LOL!
My favourite EMA moments....of course the beginning. I caught my breath, screamed "OMG that's Adam!!!", jumped up from the couch and stood clutching my heart and swaying like a ninny while my husband looked at me like I'd lost my fucking mind!
Loved the retreating bow to Brian down the runway (such respect)....and the way he strode down the catwalk. GAH! ...as far as vocal "moments", so, so many! He was perfection.
