Having pulled off a "perfectly adequate" Thanksgiving dinner for... five : , I was feeling rather pleased with myself.......then I read Q3's menu. DAMMIT WOMAN!!! (off to smile sweetly at son's new girlfriend who makes me want to throw myself off a bridge *sighs*)

Completely OT, but I just heard an interview with Doris Day on NPR. She is releasing her first studio album in 17 years in December. The proceeds from the album will go to her animal protection charity. Sometimes when you don't hear about an older celebrity for awhile, you assume they might not be doing too well, but Ms. Day sounds amazing, both in the interview and the clips from her album. This woman is 87 years old! Here is the interview: Doris Day on NPRWow! That woman is amazing! I feel terrible for thinking she had died. :-[

Just got another email from Amazon. Subject line: "Adam Lambert's New Album". So, they are still at it. Should I report this to someone in Adam's camp? Forward it to..... who? Also, do any of you know how to respond directly to Amazon about this deceptive advertising? Or, maybe I should just chill. Clicking on the link in the email took me to the page for the MP3 version of BFM, and, with all the promotion, it has soared all the way to #731 in MP3 albums. I would just ignore it. Clearly it is not working. ;D Amazon is notoriously unresponsive to customer complaints. And after you go through all the hoops to get to a human on the phone, the rep would only be able to report it. You could report it as a "strange email from Amazon" -- they actually read these because it is where they find scum who are phishing using Amazon as a cover. And report it to them as an email you are certain Amazon would never send. Link: www.amazon.com/gp/help/contact-us/report-phishing.html?ie=UTF8&nodeId=&type=email&mode=&skip=true

I'm still all.... over Q3's wonderful dinner party menu! My dear late MIL made fantastic Beef Braciole and I think of her whenever I see or eat it. And after giving me gastronomic pleasure I have to apologize to Q3 for my avi. I know she HATES the hat. : It's temporary. Like Adam I like to change my look frequently. Shhhhhhhhh! I really don't hate that black hat that much. Anyone who knows what Bracioli is (delicious, wonderful but "peasant" food), knows that it is just plain delicious but something my "fillet & froi gras" dinner guests had never eaten before. Ha! I had no idea it was an exotic dish.

You can go on live chat with Amazon about a vendor and hash it out. I started a session this morning after I got it but I had to time it out due to another appointment. I am going to do it again. I think we need to register a barrage of complaints right to customer service at Amazon that this is deceptive advertising on their part and on the part of the vendor.

So, Q3, you're opening that exclusive little bistro when? You have the combined talents of 101 women! and the wine choices, and running the board, and starting a new job requiring a 3-way move. ADAMAZING!!!
Perhaps sharing that menu might get you an invite to a certain aerie in Hollywood?

Tour was a big, big miss. It reminded me of something my mother-in-law from Delray Beach, Florida would make and wear". I live perilously close to Delray - just over the border into Boynton Beach so watch what you say about the old ladies down here!!!! LOL If you get down this way to visit this winter (or any other time), let's have some coffee (or a 7 course Italian meal) and chat. Would love to meet you.

Q3 What do you think of the reaction threads idea? & Where would be the best place to put them? skylar - very interesting idea for the "reaction threads" - looking forward to reading the results! ;D I would love to add the "straight women" thread as well - only because it is interesting to see what is perceived as a "turn on". I know we've had many a discussion here or there, but it was never in one place... Yes, agree and thank you for encouragement Nica!
