Midwifespal and I have discussed this many times, this concept that Adam would come to Austin one day and visit. Yes, we are crazy fans with active imaginations. MWP has an awesome screened in back porch and I have a backyard perfect for parties and we live right in the middle of everything that is anything in Austin.
I imagine that we would serve him a perfectly grilled steak to his specifications, deliciously done veggies, and sweet potato rounds basted in tamari, butter and maple syrup, cooked perfectly right on MWP's excellent back porch. Then we would have to take him on a walk down South Congress Ave, show him the town.
I think I might feel really high the whole time he was with us, because he has a blastingly huge aura and his energy is unfailingly positive, but I doubt I would pass out or otherwise panic. I think the opportunity to personally connect with my modern day shaman who's on a trip to the moon would be immensely satisfying.
Thanks for indulging my favorite fantasy about Adam, Q3. Sounds like you are one amazing cook!!
ETA: We would also have the most perfect red wine to go with that steak and his favorite liquor, I believe it is Grey Goose vodka. But we could also serve him up some Texas style margaritas. My partner is really good at making the tastiest margaritas ever.

My son visited me today. I have earlier talked about Adam to him. He has just commented that he doesn't know who he is. Today he told me that he had now listened to Adam's music on youtube and that he is a new Adam fan. He said that he used to think that Adam was just "another celebrity", but now he knows that Adam really can sing - "his voice is just amazing and superior". He had listened to Adam's AI and EMA performances. He wondered how can it be possible that Adam didn't win AI. I told him that there were hatecampaigns against him due to his sexual orientation. It's obvious that (nearly) all people just loves him after they have become acquainted with his music.  you are so lucky bobo! ... not exactly the case with my kids. BUT - I did have a little "win" with my DD today: I presented her with the gift of the Eye of Horus stud earrings and she LOVED them! I was a little apprehensive in deciding to give it to her in the fear of her disliking them due to the association with Adam, but I was totally wrong! She immediately took out the earrings from the lowest of her three holes and put these in! She also asked about Penny Royal, the meaning of the image and asked if this was Adam's design Also, when I was watching Access Hollywood the other day she overheard Adam speaking about "changing the style" and ran into the room to watch! So, I am hopeful that may be soon she'll start listening to his music.... My DS is hopeless though  |
