OMG it would!!!!!!!!! I realized today that I've got 5 weeks of vacation saved up thanks to going nowhere this last year, lol. But actually I have mixed feelings about going overseas to see Adam. On one hand, it would be amazing and it could be part of a fantastic vacation. On the other hand, SO many European fans didn't get to see him the first time because the venues were little and sold out so fast. I would truly not want to take a seat from a European fan, given that we in the U.S. are so fortunate to have so many to choose from. Maybe the solution is to splurge on good seats here for a couple of concerts, and then go to Europe (where he'll hopefully be in larger venues) and sit wherever, letting the local peeps see him up close. Like our very own, Miachichu! She has not seen Adam live yet because the Helsinki venue was so small and sold out in less than 5 minutes! Hell, if I had a ticket to see Adam in Helsinki and she didn't -- I would give it to her.

So, when Adam was first talking about touring, he thought he would be in small venues 500-1000 seats. Imagine what a wild ride it was for him. 1) Coming off of the Idol tour, he thinks after he releases his first album, he may tour as an opener for someone. 2) Releases FYE, wondering if he has just ruined his future and his career with the AMAs. But, whew! It sells. He gets international attention for the AMAs. 3) He gets the green light to headline his own tour. A handful of concerts in small venues. 4) Venues sell out in minutes. Some get changed to larger halls. The tour gets extended by an extra month. An extra two months. An extra three. 5) Tour goes international. First to Asia, then to Europe. 6) Adam ultimately tours for 6+ months to almost totally sold out houses around the globe. 7) At the end of the tour, he learns he has been nominated for a Grammy.
It had to be a surreal, mind-blowing experience for him. Growing bigger and better as it rolled along. Keeping that in mind, who knows how much the second album and tour will blow up???

LOL the convo today is a beautiful example of why Adam was so right in NOT trying to figure out what his fans want and just going after what he wanted for Trespassing ;D I'm having flashbacks to discussions on PF after the first few performances and a bunch of people HATED the dancers (distracting, bad costumes, tacky moves, etc). People were UP IN ARMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And then a little while before GNT started Adam tweeted something along the lines of "STFU and STFD, I love my dancers and you will, too!" (not exactly but that was the general idea, lol) And lo and behold, we got dancers, and after a while, most of us came to appreciate or at least not loathe the dancers. And ultimately it was all about Adam anyway cuz he kinda has this charisma thing that makes it difficult to tear your eyes off him onstage. I have my own opinions on Adam's backing musicians, and we can all happily opine to our hearts' content, but ultimately Adam will figure out what works best for him THIS TIME, and that'll be it. As long as Adam doesn't have any people in his entourage that are assholes to him, I'm pretty fine with whatever he decides. I totally agree with everything you said. Those early "dancer days" were crazy at PF. It was pretty funny when Adam put the kabosh on all of it. All I could think was GOOD FOR YOU. In the end, Adam is going to do what is best for him and fits his vision. Concerning Tommy, I really like him. I can't judge his skill by anything except casual music lover standards, but I think he's loyal to Adam, plays well enough to please Adam, and added a bit of fun to GNT. As far as the crays, why should Tommy be punished because of their insanity? I think he and Adam went through a lot of fun, exciting, and challenging times together and that accounts for their connection, platonic as it is. One of my favorite pics is the two of them walking off the stage with their arms around one another after the MuchMusic rehearsal, just because friendship is always so touching.

Wow! Here is an oldie!!! AI Top13, I think! Awwwww, I think I just fell in love with Justin for not asking about the photos of Adam and Brad! They had surfaced right before this party. I watched most of his show wth Kim Caldwell, think they both are fans of Adam.

In Germany only two of the five venues sold out quickly, Cologne and Hamburg. For Berlin, Munich and Stuttgart the tickets were available over a few weeks, if I remember correctly! ??? The venues here were smaller venues, I think in Hamburg there were about 900 people!?! And there are no seats, you have to stand the whole time!!! Unfortunately Adam isn't that well known here! But I hope this will change with the second album!!!

The YTs and download links should still work that are back in the thread.
