One final comment on the 2012 Olympics --- here is the London bit from the 2008 closing ceremony -- Leona Lewis and Jimmy Page doing WLL and, yes, Adam would have been betterer: What do you mean... the "bus opened like a lotus flower" LOL It wasn't exactly a hot mess, but I've seen better on a crappy awards show. |

I think the only way A would be performing at the Olympics opening/closing would be WITH Queen - I would expect it would be similar to the EMA's and he might not be introduced separately, but just as part of Queen. Since Queen is without a doubt a British band, I don't think there would be much concern that 1 "member" was American. It doesn't even concern me that he might not get mentioned - as we learned from the EMA's, the people that heard him who didn't know him said "Who is THAT?!?!?!" and looked it up.  Also, thecommentators that are describing what is going on are pretty likely to mention him. |

I posted link to Savvy92's SIL obit in the ATOP personal news thread. I know many of you expressed your condolences the other nite on the board, but there is a digital condolence book at the link. I will be attending a visitation, since I'm local and Savvy and I enjoyed a lunch this summer.
