Thanks sugaree for the Bad Company songs. Yup, never heard them. Rodgers guy seems cool tho. I agree with Chunkey it's all about what you've been exposed to. My parents were pop whores too (I guess it runs in the family), so I grew up with Beatles and ABBA (grew up in Europe, mkay?). Also MJ. It was only when I got to high school and later that I started making up for lost time.

Have not had much time to post, I can not believe all the publicity Adam is getting with this Queen performance. This is nothing but good for Adam now his new single is coming out. This may be why the sudden descision to release the single this month.
On performing with Queen I would pay anything also to see this the songs are so perfect for his voice they really show case it.

I'm really loving all the attention Adam is getting right now about singing with Queen and the possibility that he might do it again. I feel this is very good publicity for sure!! When I first got to HI, I ended up telling my brother & SIL about Adam since a very sweet A'toper sent me a Bday gift to their home. They had no knowledge of Adam what so ever. I told them about the EMA's and was going to have them watch the video, but never got around to it (partly due to a negative episode with my son which I might talk about in the personal thread at some point). I can so relate to those here talking today about their sons opinions. I've given up on son #2 ever liking Adam although he will admit he is a good singer. It's the *just not my type of music* thing...??? ugh But, this is what the Queen exposure has done, in my opinion. This is a bit of an email from my SIL after I emailed her the EMA vid: *Aloha - What a great video. I too am a big fan of Queen. Queen was so big when I lived in England. Freddy was one of a kind, hard act to follow. Adam does a wonderful job and he shouldn't be compared to Freddie, different styles; it's all good. I'm so glad that Queen found someone to be their lead singer. * I have to email her back and explain that Adam isn't going to be their lead singer...lol! Sometimes she just doesn't listen to everything I say. I did tell her it was just one performance and that he was putting out his second album next year. But, now I feel comfortable in sending her vids of Adam and letting her in on all the wonder that is AFL!!! YAY!!! From what I could tell, she & my brother mainly listen to classic rock stations. When I was talking about Adam singing with Queen, my brother asked if he was as good as Freddy. I said I thought so, but that they were two totally different voices. I see she picked up on that. Don't know if she showed him the vid or not. But, if Adam singing with Queen can get him this kind of attention, it's surely going to get him new fans. We've pretty much seen this already, haven't we? And, I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO FLAILINGGGGGGGGGGGGG about Adams tweet last night!!! No *ish* or *soon*!!! WOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Can't wait for new music!!!

What I love about all this Queen talk is that most articles post a link to the EMA performance. They can see and hear for themselves what Roger and Brian are raving about! This is all good!

When I showed my boyfriend Adam's EMA performance with Queen he said he'd pay pretty much anything to see them perform live together....that seeing and hearing Adam with them was as close to having Freddie back on stage as he's ever seen. Adam working with Queen is a win/win and has no downside at all IMO. For an up&coming artist like Adam to even be thought of in the same league with Queen is amazing; the fact that the members of this legendary band actually publicly say they want to work with him again is astounding. Most artists would kill to have that kind of credibility regardless of what it might mean in terms of their notoriety. ITA IT IS A COMPLETE WIN AND ADAM WILL NOT LOSE HIS IDENTITY IN A FEW HIGHLIGHTED CONCERTS.

QUEEN ladies and gentlemen QUEEN! It's awesome sauce squared with whipped cream on top. It will get Adam gigs he can't get on his own, publicity that he wouldn't get on his own, and, I bet they will play some of his songs as well, so he gets exposure for his music that he might not have gotten on his own. When Queen calls, you pick up the phone!
