Hard to believe 1 year ago we were eagerly anticipating the release of Velvet, his Vegas tour, all the promo etc. What a difference a year makes. Hopefully one year from now we'll be looking forward to tours etc.

Love seeing that "socks" video again! So funny!
Can't wait to hear and see Adam doing interviews again and performing again, even if it's limited. I hope 2021 brings us more Adam in new and glorious ways, on and off the stage. It would be nice to get at least an little update from him about what he's working on.
For those who did not check the previous thread, please check the video from Dr. Karen on gender identity. Priceless, and it's actual science. Not pretend science.
Got my first vaccine a while ago. Second one in a couple weeks. Very relieved.

I see that many Americans here are getting the vaccine with few side effects. I'm curious if you are receiving the Pfizer or Moderna?

Congrats on those getting the vaccine! It is still a waiting game for me but can't wait for the day and hopefully they will continue to move faster.
As I watched Idol last night, it was interesting to hear Katy Perry tell a contestant that she thought her attire and antics were a form of insecurity. Katy admitted that she sometime goes overboard herself and hides behind an OTT look because of her own insecurities. For someone who got massive radio play, nominations, award show performances, and worldwide arena tours (that made her very rich) just shows that self doubt sometimes still plays a role, even when it looks as if they have it all. Wacky OTT Katy does seem different from early Katy. Actually I liked the old Katy better. She was beautiful with the long black hair and nice makeup that enhanced her looks but was not overdone. I remember how lovely she and Adam looked when they were on the red carpet when they attended the This Is It premier together. Or how great they looked at the Elton John party. Two of the brightest and most gorgeous stars. Katy never came off as pretentious and more of a character like Gaga, imo. Now she is a more wacky character where Gaga seems to have grown in statue and taken more seriously. Not sure if Katy's change or insecurities are because the younger divas have taken over in pop or if the judging on Idol took her in a different direction. TBH, I had wanted Adam to be a judge on Idol but when I see how crazy they are now with the antics, I'm glad he is not. I thought he was a great judge on XfactorAu. He had his moments of fun but for the most part he took his duties seriously and put the attention on the contestants and not himself. The Idol and Voice judges are all about showboating and who can act sillier than the next, lol. And telling every other contestant that stardom is in their future, instead of trying to guide and help. I am so glad that Adam came thru during the Simon era. His talent was recognized and encouraged and the praise and attention were earned.

His talent was recognized and encouraged and the praise and attention were earned. I quite agree with you Lurleen and that is a disappointment. I have always been an advocate of Idol and considered it the best of the singing talent shows but last year and this, they seemed to have fallen prey to the judge foolishness and primacy over the talent. My first instinct re Katy is that perhaps she is self-conscious of her baby weight so instead of owning it and 'whatever'ing as Kelly did....she is hiding behind some pretty idiotic behaviour. Last night was especially silly for the lot of them....surely they aren't all on board with that nonsense. As for the "grade inflation" that goes on in all these talent shows...I have finally got to the point where I think I will cancel recording them and just catch them when I am there and there is nothing else to watch ..... too bad....as the saying goes, they have once more 'jumped the shark' and rapidly becoming less and less relevant.
