I see that many Americans here are getting the vaccine with few side effects. I'm curious if you are receiving the Pfizer or Moderna? I got Moderna last Friday. My arm was sore the next day and I was a little more tired than usual. Second shot in 3 1/2 weeks. My 95 year old mother had no trouble either.

Second shot, on Saturday, gave me less of a sore arm, but yesterday I had a low fever, some chills and aches, and I was tired. No headache with the fever, thank goodness! Today I’m fine.

Pfizer for me and 2 of my friends, mildly sore arms and a little extra tiredness, but otherwise fine ... they've both had two shots, I get my 2nd one on Thursday.

I had the Moderna. The first shot was relatively easy. My daughter told me the second shot was a little rougher so, as a precaution, I took the day off work for the day after. Glad I dd. The shot itself was painful and my arm was sore. Ok for the rest of the day though, but he next day, I had nausea (it could've been the biscuits and gravy my son fixed) . I felt bad for a little while so took a tylenol and took a nap. I felt perfectly fine when I woke up. I know people who have taken one or the other of the shots and some have it easy and some have a little sore arm. But pain or no, it is definitely worth it. I still wear my mask at work though since I didn't get the flu shot. Seems the flu is down this year and speculation is the masks are helping.

Haven't posted forever but thought this might be helpful for those getting vaccinated.
I had a hard go-round with the first Moderna shot so I wanted to be prepared for the second one. I got a great ice pack on Amazon and read that no matter how it felt, exercising the arm vigorously would be a big help.
I was told to wait a couple of hours for the ice pack but I could exercise it right away and I was swinging that arm constantly. The next morning it was sore after a night of no movement. Even so I made myself swing it around in all directions and iced it several times a day. It made a huge differnece. It took almost a week for swelling and redness to go down after the first shot but after the exercise and ice routine, I was fine in two days with the second one. Only the first night was really rough (chills, nausea) but the arm was much better than after the first shot.
Feeling incredibly grateful as tomorrow will be two weeks for my husband and Wednesday two weeks for me since shot two and hopeflly full immunity. I am celebrating by getting a haircut on my patio. Paying my hair dresser for a home call masked and outside. Still not taking any chances since Florida is a f*****g petri dish courtesy of our governor whose idea of success was keeping bars and restaurants open all the way through and letting the bodies fall where they might.

I got my 1st Moderna shot today. I feel like I did getting a flu shot; a little sore on the arm and a little tired but not really anything a little Tylenol can't fix. I also had my first cataract surgery today and am in a walking boot from foot surgery 2 weeks ago, so I guess any shot discomfort is relative but I would have crawled to get that shot. I feel like I've been playing Russian Roulette for months since going back to work in June.

I got the Pfizer and had no side affects! I'm relieved to have had it and feel protected now! Still wear a mask and social distance regularly. Not pushing my luck!

I see that many Americans here are getting the vaccine with few side effects. I'm curious if you are receiving the Pfizer or Moderna? I got the Moderna vaccine and as you say, had no symptoms with the 1st shot. I did have symptoms with the 2nd which is very common. On the second day, I had a sore arm, tired, low-grade fever, redness around injection site and some itching. It is day 4 now and my arm is still red but that is all. I am sure everyone feels the minor symptoms are well worth the protection that is provided. My child is way down the list for getting the vaccine and I am recommending to them to get whichever one becomes available, including the one dose Johnson & Johnson. It is extremely effective at preventing serious disease.

I got the Pfizer. Just a little minor soreness in my arm for a day or two. That was it. My sis just got the Moderna today. So far, so good. Hope our next one is just a easy. I know the vaccine affects some people differently. Good luck to everyone!
LOVE that profile shot of Adam! Mwah!
Adam, please let us know what you've been up to lately!
