I really hope someone rips it rapidly since I don't get Sundance Channel. A high school friend called me earlier today and started going on and on about Jackie Evancho, her grandfather was a classmate of ours, and kept declaring no one could sing any more and she was amazing, etc, etc. I kept my silence, something at which I do not excel, but finally had to mention Adam, casually, of course, and she said she remembered him from American Idol and had seen him a few times a long time ago on ET but that was it. Because she's more a Jackie Evancho kind of person, I told her I'd email her a few Adam things. She was actually excited. In 10 minute intervals, I sent her: 1. Brigadoon (included picture with the Bushes, though I don't know her politics. 2. The Prayer (she's a regular church goer) 3. Sleepwalker from GNT 4. Music Again from GNT That eased her into the real, up to date Adam. She was duly impressed and asked me to let her know when his new music comes out. Not expecting big things, but it was nice to have the opportunity to spread the word.... and she does have 3 grown children, so who knows. I never realised how musically illiterate my friends are until Adam. The younger ones are better, but those who are my age who were so into music when we were in high school and college have morphed into pop culture novices (that is the nicest word I could come up with.) Anyway, just hanging out waiting for developments. MIKA ;D ;D ;D ;D The reasons to retire to the AZ desert are numerous, the top two that come to mind are........drum roll  Cayman & Maui ;D ;D Maui would be thrilled to entertain you, he is all about sharing, this includes the pool float. When the pool is too cold to swim in, we have a hot tub, so year round water to soak in. Guess my vote didn't count, you are off tomorrow morning  Make sure you have internet service and your laptop is in perfect working order. Any dayish we will have new Adam entertainment and I don't want you to miss a minute of it. Darn it anyway..........give me a minute to pout :-/, I was counting on you being here everyday when the new music came out. Damn job of yours! Oh, almost forgot, on my side of town no gun carriers.............however you must watch out for snow birds and retiree's driving their big cars. |

Well I'm bitterly disappointed that we don't have any news. All I want is the date. Running around packing for my flight tomorrow - will NOT be online until Wednesday night. *sighs* I don't want to be the last freakin' person in the world to hear the damn song!! I'M GONNA MISS THE FLAIL!!
There's still hope he'll tweet today? :-/ I think there is still hope. I'm expecting at least 2-3 more hours. Then I'll give up hope for today. |

Good lord, I never thought I'd still be this far down the rabbit hole 2 1/2 years later and apparently lodged there permanently. ;D I'm reconciled to the idea that this is a lifelong situation, and I couldn't be happier. The only downside is my drastic reduction in productivity, but I'm dealing with it...  |

This is a short trip for consultations before the long trip. It will actually be good for me to get back to my usual work though not as excited about long hard hrs lol. You make an excellent argument for AZ - Cayman and Maui would make anywhere a fun place! (And I have lived in FL so tiny snowbirds peering over the wheels of very long cars is a familiar hazard) My computer is tripping back to the tech for some upgrades very soon (maybe today) but I will reach out direct when it's back w/me. Meanwhile, remain calm - Adam, not unlike Jesus, has the whole world in his hands. |

CaymanHow can you blame the pretty one? He's crazy busy putting together the new 'Spectacular, Spectacular!' I'm home today slamming out email before leaving early tomorrow a.m. Have you gone back to mopping the floor? Because you may have to explain to me the joys of retirement in Arizona b/c I'm thinking of premature retirement when I get back to U.S. fall/winter next year.  . Esp. I don't want to be caught in some sort of Mad Max Climate change thing where's there's no water- just tea partiers w/firearms. Also, even w/out the apocalypse, I need a pool filled w/water daily and I'll prob need to borrow Maui sometimes to help me enjoy it 8-) Hang in there! --you improve my quality of life! And I don't think I ever thanked you for the salsa dancing doggie vid from the other day. I showed it to my husband and I don't know that I've ever seen him so happy ;D! Our poor regular dog looked a little pale in comparison though :( (kidding, I love my doggie). And Mika, no idea where you're headed but happy and safe travels, buddy! be strange all you want but don't be a stranger! |

Cayman--you improve my quality of life! And I don't think I ever thanked you for the salsa dancing doggie vid from the other day. I showed it to my husband and I don't know that I've ever seen him so happy ;D! Our poor regular dog looked a little pale in comparison though :( (kidding, I love my doggie). Canine freestyle is a sanctioned competitive sport now- there are tons of videos around in many different styles. If you ever get the opportunity to attend a show that features it as an extra event, go. As with competitive obedience the misses can be as entertaining as the successes.
