Unfortunately, the ruling hasn't come down yet. "Prop 8 OVERTURNED: Gay Marriage Ban Struck Down In California," reads the headline. Nope. For anyone interested: This is a pretty straight-forward update of Prop 8's current progress through legal system. sfist.com/2011/12/08/prop_8_returns_to_9th_circuit_this.phpIF things go as expected and IF (def an if) the US Supreme Court agrees to hear the case down the road, Justice Jackson has a very mixed record on related cases. I wouldn't get my hopes up personally but he has an interesting record and takes the law and fundamental civil liberties very seriously (unlike at least a couple of his colleagues). He does lean towards states rights. And MWP called me strange - hey, Adam says I should be proud to be weird! That is scary! A street and direction I have driven down many times. It is very close to Adam's house and probably a route he takes when he is coming out of the hills. |

I was out grocery shopping and got a text alert. I got so excited, thinking, "Yay, Adam! Finally!" It was my son and I was disaoppointed. Such a bad mom! :-/
