I am sitting here glued to Atop even though I know nothing will happen for at least 4 more hours. My bags are packed and in the car along with wrapped Christmas presents for relatives. In 2 hours I will be in the car for a whirlwind trip from Austin to Houston to Tyler to Dallas and back to Austin by Friday evening, picking up college-aged children along the way. I don't mind the driving, as a matter of fact I find it rather zen and the confined space is conducive to long talks with children, but what I really want is a device, perhaps like iPhone's Siri, which I could set to Atop and have it read me the posts as I drive. Like a DVR, I would want to be able to pause and redirect it to listen to links like BTIKM and it should be able to speak squee and flail. Is that really too much to ask?

Maybe ios5.1. enjoy traveling! I wont be traveling till the 23rd. Illinois to Michigan to Ohio, back to Michigan...then back to Illinois after the new year if we are lucky to get the time off. |

I was just using it as an example of a mobile voice platform. |

Dreyer's is a very popular brand in the Western United States and Texas, and is marketed as Edy's in the East so as not to be confused with Breyer's.  Not to be confused with Blue Bell, which is the best ice cream in the country. Adam, come perform your single in Texas and have some. Have to take exception with the Blue Bell = Best Ice Cream in America. They make fine ice cream and amazing fat free products. BUT the best ice cream in America is probably found in local shops who make fresh ice cream. And there are many great ones. A far as factory ice cream -- I think they are all pale imitations of the real thing. Dreyer's (now Nestle) has been "reformulated" with cheaper ingredients and longer shelf life. Once was great. Breyer's was also great once. Before Breyers was turned into a national brand -- they made spectacular ice cream -- all natural and with fresh LOCAL ingredients. The peach ice cream, for example, was made with New Jersey peaches only once a year. Unilever now ones them and has destroyed them by adding synthetic gums and other crap to the ice cream to save money. I am also a fan of Bassett's -- from Philadelphia -- it is the oldest ice cream producer in the US (est. 1861) and makes original Philadelphia style ice cream which is what American ice cream is based on vs. gelato and other forms of frozen magnificence! www.bassettsicecream.com/ (you can buy it online if you have a ton of money!!) Frozen desserts are my absolute favorite food group. Right ahead of pudding and pies and cheesecakes and...... If it is sweet -- I love it!! ETA: No reason to be "scared".
