I seriously doubt that we are in the demographic RCA is looking to attract. Must say I'm thrilled with the single cover they just released, but would guess there will be many in the coming months that will be pretty crazy - to me anyway. (Think back to Michelin Man and many others.) I hope I am wrong, but it seems that when Adam tweeted about the album shoot, his hair style was the one with the shaved sides. I remember thinking, oh nooo. The gorgeous single cover was in July or August around the time he did the Majors and Minors show IIRC. This Duran shot was when he was in UK for the EMAs. Please correct me if I'm mistaken. According to some ninjas on twitter who decoded the photo, the single cover was shot on 12/7. I think this is correct. His hair resembles recent photos. I wonder if they will reshoot the album cover as well then? I was thinking that they could use the Duran shots if they were so closeup that his ear area was basically cropped off the cover, lol. I also wonder if this might be a factor in not having a new look for AO yet, if there was a very last minute switch in direction with photos? Complete speculation, and I would ask on the AO mod thread if there is a chance of a look overhaul coming soon. (But I already did and I think they might ban me) |

But the Pop target market is aged 15-35 -- and I am sure Adam knows this and that his RCA team keeps him focused on it. But just for perspective -- over 50% of the music sold in the US is sold to people over 45 years old. - It is so great to have you here with real facts! Thanks!! Good god, what are these HUGE pants?!? I hate this picture and pray that the rest are better! I cringe with the thought that this is the album shoot! Noooooooooooooooo!!!!!  I hate this picture. A lot. I hatehatehate the Frankengump hair. I hate the pose. I hate the pants. I won't be choosing to buy anything with an image like this emblazoned on it or in it (such as a deluxe cd with a photo booklet). I am perplexed as to what audience or demographic would be served by this image. I am boggled by the fact that here you have one of the most gorgeous celebrities in the world and THIS is the choice for promo for his new album? Yes, I really hate it. ETA: I asked my 18 year old dd, who is a huge Adam fan and also known for taking fashion risks/choices that puts her outside the norm of her Hollister/Aero/A&F wearing peers, and her reaction was basically, "WTF? Blech!" |

Well since it looks like the shoot for the single cover was only two days before when we thought we'd get the press release, you might not be alone in that assessment ??? I think Adam looks beautiful in the Duran shot overall, but the hair is a mite bit distracting no matter what demographic you fall in. |

i do not believe the cover has been shot yet -- just a rumor but as far as I can tell it is credible.
I am sure that the BTIKM video has not been shot yet.

The first single pic is so incredible and gorgeous and now this franken-gump shaved head pic where he's crouching down like a bad little boy wearing giant pants?????? I am over the moon about the first single cover we got and now this - ACK! I'm sorry but I find that pic hideous overall and I'm sick inside thinking that is the album shoot. Universe - make it NOT SO. :-/ |
