Thanks HSM! Yep that's a profound explanation  [grins] Here's what makes it even more profound: I think the reason that Eber calls "Trespassing" a gerund is because its being used as an album title. An album is a noun, so "Trespassing" in this instance is also a noun. Since "trespass" is a verb, making it an "-ing" word and then changing it to a noun usage is what actually makes it a gerund. #obsuregrammarrules  TY it makes sense now.  |

i do not believe the cover has been shot yet -- just a rumor but as far as I can tell it is credible. I hate this picture and pray that the rest are better! I cringe with the thought that this is the album shoot! Noooooooooooooooo!!!!!  Oh hell - please not the album shoot. The first single pic is so incredible and gorgeous and now this franken-gump shaved head pic?????? I'm sorry but I find that pic hideous overall and I'm sick inside thinking that is the album shoot. Universe - make it NOT SO. :-/ just to add some balance ;D I LOOOVE the Duran shot, think Adam looks edgy as hell and v. handsome, I'm completely kinky for stripes, and like the slight urban appeal of the t-shirt and baggy jeans. See, you can please some of the people all of the time! Seacrest, OUT. (ps, love the BTIKM single cover with the pretty and the HAIR and the "shoulder situation" too.  ) |

I was skeptical but the fact that the single has different hair leads me to think that the album photography will have multiple looks -- similar to the FYE booklet concept but betterer. |

reason #456 why the odds are on Adam's side – it's time for a male pop star who can match it with the divas! All the ukelele strumming feel good doo whop is fine and dandy but I was over it at Mraz and its still feels old but with no alternatives it gets airplay (oh ok and it is catchy and radio friendly fluff). From the small bit we've heard BTIKM seems to have the ingredients R&B edge, check, rock flair, check, good hook, check, killer vocal, check - add Adams style cred and stir. MALE pop prince to go. Just got back from errands and lunch and I was thinking about this (and what Cassie said) while listening to KIIS-FM (L.A. CHR, the highest-rated station in Los Angeles and one of the largest in the country). Of course, "Moves Like Jagger" was playing ... again. I didn't like that song at first, but then it grew on me, but c'mon, it's been out since June – can we let it go already? Background: During the FYE era, Adam was scorned by KIIS. They added WWFM very early on, but never spun it (maybe a few off-peak times, but not much at all until he was doing Wango Tango in Spring – it had already been out for three or four months). They never added or spun IIHY (and at the time they were playing some very comparable, but not great music). As anyone in the L.A. area can attest, it was MADDENING. There seemed to be no reason for KIIS to act like he didn't exist, yet they did. (Unless it was beneficial to them, such as Wango Tango.) So of course, now I'm getting prepared and have truly believed all along this time would be different (and still do!). Even if they wanted to shun him for whatever reason (Idol connection, homophobia, not urban enough), I hope his collaborators will be the end to any arbitrary scornage. They've spun the hell out of every Dr. Luke, Claude Kelly, (except for FYE), Pharrell, Bruno, Benny song in existence and the consensus is from radio and pop experts, that this song is excellent and ideal for pop radio. What could possibly be there excuse for not spinning it? I am sooo looking forward to all the frustration those of us experienced two years ago to just dissipate away when we don't have to agonize over every spin. And Q3, love what you said a few days ago that Joe R. cut a deal with Clear Channel. Can you elaborate? LOL, looks like Q3 and I were posting at the same time ... ETA: I still disagree with you Re: Queen and kids though, Q3. Like many of said during the great Queen debate, kids love classic rock. In many markets, that's all there is. PLUS Rock Band has made them aficionados. My 17 and 20-year-old nephews and all their friends LOOOVE Queen, Journey, Pink Floyd, Boston – this generation was raised going to concerts with their parents and they don't really have that "my parent's music" thinking. For Adam to sing for Queen made an impression on them, definitely. Somehow this time around I would love for Adam to do the exact same thing to Ryan. I hope he will perform it in XFactor and then fly to NY to do all the media round including TVs, Z100 then Q102 instead of Ryan Seacrest. I can dream :-/ |
