I watch SNL but I didn't stay up to see Lil Nas X. Now this morning there is this big todo about his provocative performance and LOTS of Adam Lambert references thrown in !!!! Adam was a trailblazer that night on the AMAs. Glad that the responses give him his due. Adam paid a huge price for that night. Lil Nas X has reaped the benefits.

I hope Lil Nas X sees and appreciates the support Adam has given him. I still have AMA-related PTSD where Adam is concerned, and I remember looking for support for him from the industry and seeing mostly crickets. I will grant that in Adam's case, he was a newbie and there was probably no small amount of resentment that he was given that opportunity to begin with, but still...I hurt for him. People may call that AMA performance "a walk" now, but at the time it qualified as a dangerous run - and he almost lost everything. I will never change my opinion that it had a permanent negative effect on his U.S. career, and it's a testament to his talent and his personality that he emerged from it as well as he did.
