Slapdash ... I guess the banner situation makes sense, but then he'll be competing for banner space against 'the best music of 2011' so idk. Still this is the best theory I've heard so far.

Hrm so anyone have any theories as to why RCA is dropping the song now--with seemingly no promo that we know of (though I would looove to be wrong!! hello x factor or nyre)--and then not having adds till almost feb? I am not trying to bring up DOOM AND GLOOM because I fully believe RCA is behind this--they spent a shitload of money on this album--and I do believe they can be competent despite the prevailing fandom meme. They got Kelly buttloads of great promo and managed to get her meh song pretty high on the charts despite how meh it is. So I think they can and will promote this sucka....really I am just so at a loss at their strategy here. Admittedly I am not a numbers stan and don't know much about radio and behind the scenes dealings beside some pretty basic stuff. IDK wut they r doing here tho. And no I don't believe the new meme going around that they released early to appease the fans. LMFAO. They never try and appease us, why start now? HAAAA So...without resorting to DOOM AND GLOOM does anyone have a thoughts? Chunkey, I got nuttin! And I agree, "released for the fans for the holidays" is a nice thought, but labels don't do business that way. The suddenly changed release date is still a mystery! I do follow numbers and the entire timing doesn't make sense. I dunno! Plus, I am wondering why no spins from Z100 or Q102Philly today? Just happened to check out Q102 Philly and they were having their evening "you pick the hits" . Of course I keep plugging in Lambert. Well tonight If I had you won. I can't tell you the last time I've heard that as well as WwfM on Q102. No BTIKM but at least he was played. I ordered so quickly when I found out the CD was on sale at Amazon (didn;t realize there was a link here) so when it gets closer to the release date, I'll order more for safe keeping. I don't know why, but this boy costs me money. I hope he has super dimmers now. ps I have to find the green frog bert. He is the cutest! |

But if the general public doesn't know the song exists their not going to know to buy it. ??? Plus they JUST sent Kelly Clarkson 2nd single to radio last week. I totally agree with the bolded part. Of course, one's family and loved ones mean more than their business in life personally. But I don't get comparing the two. Business is business. Personal is personal. I have no doubt that if being in the states at this moment was vitally important to Adam's career, he would be here right now. Someone who loves Adam would totally understand and be good with it. Sauli knows the ins and outs of celebrity as well. I fail to see how a couple of days either way would be so terrible and unthinkable to either of them. JMO. Agreed ! I wish Sauli or someone from his family had been there to help Adam, especially after his long flight from China.Wasn't Adam at the L.A. airport to pick up Sauli ? On the other hand, it really isn't a concern of mine (or my business for that matter)  :  |

I saw that post from Pulse and part if it makes sense, except that there is promo for the single and the album later. Kelly did appearances for both as did Cook and Daughtry. I think January for that is fine, but I am still suprised that the single was thrown out there, this week, with no radio interviews (even by phone) or in person radio visits. Yes, I know it is Christmas week, but then why release it now? For the gift card buying next week? If only the fans know about the single, due to no promo, the fans were going to buy the single anyway.

"Old sad panda"??? ??? ??? When did bb EVER look like a sad panda??? HOW did I miss it???? I can't picture the AI photo that was referenced, although I think it was something gothic looking, haha. But there was a picture from the Toronto promo of Adam wrapping a big gray shawl around himself on a windy gray day, and he kind of looked like a sad panda there. But not an old one, lol. I feel slightly apologetic that I've been too lazy to learn how to bring photos here -- no photo bucket account, etc. One day I'll have to give in and learn some of this stuff (avatars, photos). Right now, just a slightly lazy, very time-challenged and overwhelmed-by-life, unembellished poster. |

Has Xfactor been ruled out? If Adam prerecorded XF it will be a better kept secret than the EMAs were. First, they use a LIVE audience for the prerecorded segments. So that would mean that 500+ people have kept quiet. And there is no way he can do it LIVE because he would have to be here for rehearsals and I would think he is spending more than 2 days in Helsinki. :-/ ETA: Does anyone haave the link to the Ann Powers review?
