The 1st day that Kelly's 1st single was available for radio I heard Her do a short call in radio interview to ChumFM on my way home from work. Kelly's first single never made it to the top spot in ChumFM but was picking up paces this couple weeks and they drop Stronger today. I also saw her the other song get play on the Montreal radio station when I voted this afternoon. I think the label gonna to push Kellys album before Adam's. I don't hear anything about Adam's Album at all from my station. But i don't listen all day so I am not 100% sure. I'll see if I can get BTIKM tomorrow on itune Canada. You're all bumming me out!! I was so excited! LOL, it's ok, it's just funny I was feeling so anticipatory and everyone else seems a little worried. I guess I don't have the facts to back up my optimism, but I just think things are gonna be better than good. That's my story and I'm sticking with it. I don't know enough to be worried! But I do think there's likely to be a lot of word of mouth about this song. And I have no idea what Adam and RCA and DMG have planned, but I'm sure there IS a plan. No way, IMHO, are they putting him in the back seat behind Kelly. I think there is confusion because Adam is a unique case, imo. The rules don't apply. Yeah, I'm Pollyanna. But now I feel like saying -- I hope I'm not wrong!!! aarrggghh  |

I'd just like to know what RCA/management have up their sleeve - I love a good mystery. As far as Kelly goes, it's apples and oranges. Two different artist at two different points in their carrer. With the way Kelly's album sales are, they are probably focusing more on her single sales now, rather than putting all their efforts into album promo. It's like saying all the efforts for Adam will take the promo away from NAL. It's just not true. |

I, who know nothing, wonder if RCA/DGM is trying a different strategy for Adam.
1) Adam's fans are invested fans and will flood online voting in these anyone vs. Adam radio contests.
2) Adam's invested fans are doing extensive word of mouth and doing our usual buying--so maybe they are testing early adopters vs new buying fans?
3) getting a lot of Internet and print reviews of BTIKM almost all of which are very positive and mention Trespassing which benefits in generalized positive name recognition.
4. Adam uses twitter differently, and maybe they are trying to see what market penetration they can get through alternative methods before regular promo kicks in.

I do not think that December promo has been ruled out -- we just do not know what is going on. The EMAs were secret until the day before the performance, and when the show started and we knew Adam was going to be on we still did not know that he would be on with Queen. I'm totally joyous at the out pouring of world wide love for Adam's "Better" single.This without much promotion.Probably building to a climax right before the release of "Trespassing. I'm so happy for Adam his established fans and all the new fans to come.
