Can't imagine why Adam wouldn't do the same promo RCA had Kelly, Daughtry, and Cook do when their singles were released, which was radio interviews (many via phone) and TV shows. Kelly was doing all of that before her official "add" date. I visualize, TV and radio this month, Music Video beginning of February. Then an Idol appearance in March. That is when Idol will go to LIVE shows. It will be perfect timing for him to perform the single on Idol and promo the album too. Oh, and I expect him to do Leno and ELLEN more than once. Then Idol again at the Finale because his 1st single will be so FRICKIN HUGE!!!!!! They will want him to premiere his 2nd single there!

I kind of hope RCA has some new innovative "cutting edge" promotion planned for Adam, as opposed to the "usual" promotion they have done for Kelly, Daughtry, and Cook. Those artists seem to be on the down slide, and don't have anywhere near the sales they used to, so I hope, they can work Adam in some new avenues that will generate interest that those artists have lost. Even though it was brought to Adam, I think things like the Queen appearance, are different, unique, and those type things will help him become more broadly noticed.

Kelly is doing fine. She isn't doing Rhinanna type sales but her first single is over 800K and the 2nd single is much better. Expect it to move faster. RCA had different plans last time for Adam, like expecting the AMA performance to skyrocket his sales and radio play. It didn't work. I hope they have lots of radio promo lined up for him this time. Radio is a game and Adam needs to be playing.

Or, maybe knowing the non-stop pace of promo, music vids, and tour, Adam's trying to ease into it. Since he is a collaborator, we know there have to be meetings, plans, and more meetings. That being said, having listened to Better than umpty bazillion times, I'm as anxious as you guys to see his vision for the vid. He's a storyteller, but he did that already with WWFM. Hmmmm, curious minds want to know.

I can't imagine it either. There HAS to be some promo in January otherwise the early release makes no sense at all. I can't see that Kelly's 2nd single being released a week before Adam's (I think) would delay promo, do you? There's not a lot of promo for a 2nd single - and she's already been all over the place & then some. IT'S ADAM'S TURN!!! :D

MP3 at www.mediafire.com/?dx72dddi8uchgg4. " I don't want to compare, but Adam's beautiful voice touches my heart and makes me feel so warm inside. This actually made me a little sad. I have always thought that Adam had a stronger, more powerful, more controlled, more versatile voice than Freddie (sorry, Freddie fans, just talking sound and technique here), but this juxtaposition shows it very clearly. I wonder if the Freddie performance was after he had become sick. In the verse, his voice sounds light and weak. In the chorus, he backs away from all the big power notes, and sings the climax of the chorus down an octave, or riffs in harmony. I had read that in later years, Freddie had pretty much blown out his voice and couldn't sing the high notes. So, sick or damaged vocal cords, it is a cautionary tale. Adam, keep up your technique, keep up your warm-ups and scales and drills with your voice, take extra special good care of it, no smoking or drinking to excess and no agreeing to sing in the middle of an interview when you are not properly warmed up, no matter how they whine and beg. We want to hear your instrument in top form for many years to come. (And hell, one day, in the far future, for charity or on a bet, or just to mess with people's minds, hear you sing an operatic aria. Well, at least nica and I do.) ETA: Cool! My 1500th post.

Hey all. I've been busy enjoying the holidays. Hope everyone here had a great time. Mahalia, so glad you're okay. cassie, a ride in a semen transport truck? Priceless. I've got a car story to share. It wasn't me or my car, but it definitely could have turned out bad. I was down in my basement doing laundry. I had contractors outside putting up a new deck. I'm totally oblivious to anything going on and come upstairs. The contractor screams at me "call 911". I say why? At the same time, my neighbor (who I'm really not friendly with) is banging on my door and yelling. I open the door and she comes rushing in and heads for the window right next to my computer desk. I look out and there is a car upside down with the wheels spinning about a foot away from my window and house. Turns out this woman came flying down the street, hit a car, hopped over the lawn across the street, going about 50 mph. Went across my neighbor's lawn, crashed into his very big, very sturdy flag pole and knocked it out of the ground. She came to a stop right outside my window. If I had been sitting there, I probably would have died of a heart attack. The authorities closed my street and there were all kinds of emergency vehicles and people on the street. They get the woman out of the car and sit her down on my steps asking if she is okay. She says - I kid you not - "I need to call Geico". Talk about an opportunity for a Geico commercial. She refused to go to the hospital, called a friend and went home. Check out the pictures. This is where I sit when I'm on the computer. s463.photobucket.com/albums/qq353/littledeb10/?action=view¤t=100_0440.jpgs463.photobucket.com/albums/qq353/littledeb10/?action=view¤t=100_0438.jpgHad it not been for that flagpole, I might not be here today and I definitely would have had a gaping hole through the wall of my living room. My neighbor and wife were out for a walk, my mailman was right up the street. It really could have been a disaster.
