Saturday - BeltsThis is when tightening your belt doesn't mean you are trying to save money but when you are doing it to stop your pants from heading south. It will help you stay in those nice looking pants or levis you bought that still look great and while you aren't quite in that next size yet. I haven't worn one in years so I had to get a new one. Got it attached to my best pair of Levis. I'm in the no pants dropping zone. ........thanks chapf, I've got the smilies fixed now.

I LOVE chocolate, and there are some real health benefits. Here is a link to an informative article: my.clevelandclinic.org/heart/prevention/nutrition/chocolate.aspxCacao has flavinols, that have antioxidant properties. Unfortunately, if cocoa is overprocessed or combined with milk, the benefits decrease, hence the dark chocolate emphasis. The proven benefits are lowered blood pressure and better cardiovascular health. Only a small amount of chocolate is needed (100 grams a day.) Feeling better about my exercise routine this week. Lost a total of 2 pounds so far, but feel better than the numbers indicate. Congratulations to everyone in the 5 # loss club! Hope to join you soon.

I just discovered another "trigger" for eating. It's when the main news thread gets negative and it seems to be happening a lot lately. :-/ Oops, did I really post that? Much more uplifting here! STARDUST: I just discovered the Trader Joes low carb chocolat bars, too. They're perfect for a sweet craving.

I just listened to Adam on YouTube from yesterday (OOL). It was just him singing, no picture. It really tore me up. You can just feel the emotion from him that goes into that song. Had me crying first thing.
Of course, when I weighed myself this morning, I was crying also. I only lost 2 oz. 2 oz., can you imagine from a week of dieting, only 2 ounces. Oh well, next week should be big, because I haven't gone off the diet. I really need to exercise more. I am a lousy exerciser. It makes me so tired that I have to lay down after. Anyway, my January total is 10.4 pounds so I shouldn't complain.
My husband has a January total of 10.2 pounds. He has about 8 more pounds to go. I have about 40 more pounds to go. I hope he sticks with me as I continue when he reaches his goal. It is so much easier to cook the same for both of us. I know he will want pizza, pasta, and lots of beef once he goes off the diet. I can't believe I actually got him to eat fish twice a week.
On to February for me. I want to make it through another five weeks. I really do feel a lot better.

I weighed myself Sunday...YESTERDAY... to check my progress, as I was having my nephew and his girl friend for lunch...and then of course dinner would follow. I was worried about a Monday weigh in.
Well happily I weighed slightly (very slightly) less today than yesterday. Guess that makes up for the week I gained a pound! haha So verging on 2 pound loss since last Monday. (My scale does not weigh ounces like irish1139's does. I wish it did weigh ounces as knowing even that little bit makes one feel an accomplishment.)
Goal 10 pounds..... loss to date 5 pounds.
Edit...I keep checking back --hey where is everyone today????

Wow. Kind of quiet in here. 8-) Checking in: Weight loss: TW -.5lbs.; Total- 5.5 lbs. Exercise: 5 times YAY (first time I hit the 5x goal) This is the best I've stayed with my eating plan in a long time and that makes me happy. Wish I were losing faster. Oh...the good old days. I'm at a previously steady weight and I know it's common to get "stuck" when you hit a number like that. (if that makes sense) Kind of a plateau that you have to break through. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
