It's FRIDAY! I'm fairly certain I must have worked off acouple more pounds today just chair dancing to the BTIKM video. And then there's been all that scrolling & clicking to read the 80+ pages of the Daily Chat Thread. Surely my fingers & wrists are thinner, doncha think? ???

Sunday - Stand on 1 leg for 1 minute
Yep, another one of my knee exercises. It's even better if you can stand on something that's a little squishy so that it's not real solid and your muscles have to compensate to keep holding you up. Having your knee slightly bent is fine.
Maybe this is one I should do while watching the music video. I swear it would sure help reduce my stanning time if Adam wasn't so much fun to look at as well as to listen too. The last two days just went poof as they went by, lol.

Check In: WEEK 4 & 5 End Goal: 6K LOSS TW: 2K ----- TOTAL LOSS: 4.05K (converter says 8.92 lbs) I'm back home now .... on recovery time over the next 2 to 3 weeks of restricted movement/exercise and lots of rest. DH is in charge of meals but I find that I have very little appetite and capacity for just small portions... my menu is mainly fresh vegetables, whole grain breads and pastas and small portions of protein (eggs, dairy and meats) and lots of fruit. I am still enjoying juiced surprises but only when my son comes over - DH is challenged when it comes to creating tasty juices. The weight loss reported above was a split between hospital stay and home ... I was so surprised to see how much I did lose. One big positive of my recovery schedule is that I now have unlimited time to spend at Adamtopia ,, this European promo tour has been just at the right time to keep me occupied. MY CURRENT AFFIRMATION:

The end of week five and I only lost 1.2 pounds. So disgusting. Any normal person would have lost more. Neither my husband or I went off the written diet. My husband lost only 8 ounces. Must be our age that makes it so slow. We do not exercise like we did when we were young either. Although we have gone out everyday this past week (walking all over), and we have worked on getting our floor ready for some laminate. I am so lame, I feel like I have run a marathon.
You just wonder if life is worth living going without eating food that you love. Just a lowly crust of bread would make me feel wonderful right now. On this diet during the fifth week, you only get two breads and that is without butter or anything on it.
Okay, I am done venting and bitchin'. On with the diet. Next week will be the sixth week. I have lost 11.6 and my husband has lost 10.10. Sorry for the downer week. Usually I am more positive. Tomorrow will be better. It always is. Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love you tomorrow. You're only a day away.

Well it appears a few of us are in the DIET DOLDRUMS. But hey most of you posting ahead of me have lost more weight than me anyway. I stayed the same weight as last week, and I was not on my best behaviour. Reasonable... but my exercising was more skating or walking, nothing very strenous as so much interference with work and surprise visitors...and of course Superbowl. I am just happy I did not put on any.
Goal: 10 pounds To date: 5 lost
This week may be just as bad as I am "babysitting" a nephew's step daughter for Tuesday. I think I will go swimming with her...which means just "bobbing" in the water. Then Thursday my sister and husband arrive until Sunday. And their son's girlfriend will stay for 2 days. I have to make the most of today and Wednesday! We will be going to 3 hockey games, and sourcing out wedding stuff for my neice's pending marriage in July. Fun but harder to stay on track.
Wishing everyone minus ounces!

Monday - Check in DayOh my! Hope all the Super Bowl parties and BTINM video berting hasn't ruined too many good intentions. After all the ansting I did last week after my Dr. appt. and weigh in there, and after all yalls kind encouragement, I got back down to my originally reported lost of 2 lbs. from 3 weeks ago. However, it is easy to gain two pounds on SuperBowl Sunday! Home made chili, hot wings and 3 beers did me in. Sure I can drop it back down in a couple of days. Will focus on eating less junk and more healthy foods, cutting out starches, and will really try to get serious about this. Great progress by most everyone else here. How many more weeks do we have till 3/20?

Week 5 check in....
Goal 10 lbs. This week +1 lbs Total -2.5 lbs.
Diet doldrums is right! This was a rough week for dieting for me too - went out to eat 3 times and completely blew off exercising.
Hope to get back on track this week, I'm not giving up!

Week 5 check in....
Goal 10 lbs. This week -1 lb Total -4.5 lbs.
Hope that's right because yesterday my scale was weird and said I was down 10lbs. Today more reasonable but may be forced to get a new scale soon. Didn't do quite so good with exercising this week but still trying. We all have bad weeks now and then. Also, hitting a plateau is common and need to wait it out. Might help to increase exercise too.
