Goal: 20lbs, or a size. This week: 2.0lbs. Total: 8.5 Busy stressful week. I think I worried the weight off. My son's boyfriend who lives with us, had Appendicitis surgery. Poor young man just lost his Mom right before Xmas. Hope you all will send him some good Karma. The universe needs to stop testing him. Jablea, Thanks for posting the crunch video. Do you have the Spark People App ? I was wondering if anyone has tried it. Finally picked up a yoga mat and plan to make yoga my morning routine starting today. Blood glucose readings are better with the healthier eating. But, not totally where I want them. I read a book on low glycemic index eating and have Some better meal plans. Some good diabetic apps I found : GluCoMo. & DBuddy Also GI is an app for tracking your eating for glycemic index all day. Good Luck to everyone this week ! Don't dwell on it if you didn't get positive results this week. Just move forward, and add something new to your fitness plan, to keep it fresh. Try making one small change , it could be the one little thing that makes a difference. GO Team Trepass !!

Jablea, We don't have a Costco in Ocala, but I am visiting my brother and sister-in-law in Ft. Myers at the end of the month, and they have Costco. Mr. and I always go to Costco to buy the roast beef (already cooked in a package) that they sell there for about $10.00. It is so good. We usually buy two or three and take them home and freeze a couple. I love Costco. I wish we had one in Ocala.
I will look for the EcoDrink Daily. What department is it located in? Thanks for the idea.
We finished our floors and now have laminate in the entryway, kitchen and dining room. Totally changed the look of our 23 year-old house. I am in love with my house once again. What a job but worth every cent. We were so lucky to get the floor on sale and with my son laying the floor, it was really inexpensive. We do have to buy him a 47" Vizio for doing it, but it would have cost double if we hired someone. This has nothing to do with diet, but I am all hyped up tonight.
Be back Monday morning for weigh in.

Monday - Check in Day!
Let's see. oooh, love laminate. We installed in dining and bathroom. I have 40 year old house. It needs more work.
The vitamin water at Costco is in the supplement/vitamin section. They've been having displays of it so you can taste it and such so they might have that going on.'
I havne't tried any apps. I hate writing stuff down that i eat lol so I get frustrated.
My knee gets better, gets worse, gets better, keeps me awake at night, etc. I've got to get back onthe exercise bike but I had to lay off of it for awhile too.

I had knee trouble and my doctor injected 5 shots of hydralauric (sp) something in my knee and I haven't had any trouble for over a year. The first time I had the injections, I had no pain for 1 1/2 years. Had it done again and it has now been over a year. No pain. Medicare pays for injections every six months, but I have been lucky and the stuff works on me great and so far I have gotten over a year on the injections without pain. I am going to look up the proper name for the "stuff." I know I haven't spelled it right. I'll be back. Do you have an orthopedic doctor? Or are you going to physical therapy? An orthopedic doctor could help. I'll be back with the proper name of the stuff that gets injected.

I lost 1 pound 6 ounces this week. (I can't believe I am speaking about "ounces".) Anyway I have a total loss of 13 pounds 2 ounces. It seems to be in my face. It is getting so skinny.
My husband gained 4 ounces this week. It seems impossible since the only thing he has ever snacked on is celery. We have both been so regimented on this diet. I have nothing in the house to snack on, and he never goes anywhere without me. It must be the lack of good exercise.

I forgot to check in last week :-[ but... I've lost 5 lbs total, 5 more to go.
And now that the album release date is "Mapril", we'll have more time to reach our goals! :D

Weigh in = Up 1 pound. Goal 10 loss of 4 to date.
As mentioned last week I was not going to have a ususal week (if there every is such a thing). I had company from Thursday to 6pm Sunday, and I really did not go overboard but just went with the flow. I was not concerned about being strict with myself about eating...just reasonable. Attending several hockey games and having family gatherings for meals was more about quality time anyway. This week I plan to step up the exercising and watch what I eat.
I also need to drink more water. I do find that I enjoy water more with lemon in it. I seem to sip water versus chug-a-lugging a glass. I need to do it more consciously ..if I am thirsty I have a few sips....and that is not cutting it. I need to actually DRINK glasses of water to up my intake.
So many of us with these knee issues. Nothing I can do for mine ..osteoarthritis...so just have to keep moving and be careful with certain exercises. Bummer though!
Too bad buring our eyes balls watching Adam stuff does not equate to buring real calories. Wishing one and all ... minus ounces!!!

Jablea, The stuff they put in your knees is called Hyalgan. It really worked for me. Saved me from getting knee replacements for awhile.

Checking in for the week. Had a good week...down 4, for a total of 10 so far.
This week I really upped my intensity level for exercise. Worked out 6 days ( twice a day on 4 of the days).
Advice for the week is walk a little farther and faster everyday, or add an extra 5 minutes to your routine. Anything that can bump up your intensity level. If you've been doing the same thing for a few weeks, your body adjusts, so you need to challenge it again.
And water....drink drink drink!!!
