I forgot to tell you that my husband lost 2.7 this week. I can't give a total on him because his weight sheet looks so crappy with cross outs I can bearly read it. I always take the first weight reading when I get on the scale on Monday mornings. He gets on, gets off, gets on, and ultimately has two or three different numbers to deal with. So he guesses. I think he has lost about 13 pounds, but he doesn't have more than five pounds to lose if that. I have 23 to get where I want, 43 to get where I should be. I don't know how long I will hold out and even if I can get 23 more pounds off.
It really is hard. If I didn't have Jerry participating with me, I don't know if I could do it. I know I am sick of cutting, cooking, and preparing all this diet food according to a menu in a book. I don't know what I would do if I had a family to feed. That makes it so much harder to diet and stick to a menu. Then if you have a family that needs you to be somewhere with them, how do you keep focused and prepared to diet. You can't. Been there, done that. Both my kids were in sports, and both kids had friends that ate with us every night or went to games with us, even lived with us once in awhile. I am still amazed that I don't weigh 300-400 pounds. I have relatives that did.
Jablea, are we the only two still dieting? Did everyone forget about us? I hope not.

What a great day in Adamland! So excited for those of you lucky beouches that get to go to England to see Adam & Queen!
I didn't check in last week, nothing to report. This week, I am down 2.8 lbs. for total loss of 4.8 lbs. 2 more lbs and I will be back where I was a year ago, which is my all time low since I was 40 yrs. old. So that is good! Doubtful that I will reach the original 15 lb. goal, but maybe I will get 5 more lbs. off by March 20.
I started eating Cherrios with a sliced banana for lunch every day. I am trying to get my cholestrol down, have 8 more weeks to do it in. I figured if I just stuck to eating this for lunch, I would cut out bread and chips. Guess it is working. I have been trying not to eat any bread, chips, deserts, but do have a piece of dark chocolate every night. I am also eating almonds for a snack, and taking fish oil supplements.
Any other suggestions for me?

Wow, I am so excited about Sonisphere! I don't think I can go, but I will be glued to the computer that day/night watching and waiting!!
Down 1 pound these last 2 weeks. I'm still working on a more regular exercise routine. I cooked some cookies for book club tomorrow and am trying to resist/limit my taste testing!
Wishing all the best!

WEEK 7 End Goal: 6K LOSS TW: .30K ----- TOTAL LOSS: 4.95K (converter says 10.91lbs) Whoops .. . just realized the date - I've been totally distracted by the amazing happenings in Adam Land ... what an interesting artist we follow!! I have had a miniscule weight drop this last week ... not too concerned with the slowdown ... I always feel the hard work is rewarded when my clothes start fitting me better (or looser) and they all are - as someone else already commented .. the delay in Trespassing release date will "extend" our weight loss journey so I remain confident I can surpass my goal .. I am still 2 weeks away from returning to work and my normal routine. Cheers Lady Oz

Check-In: Goal 25lbs. Week#6 -0 (again : = -8T I am going nowhere fast, lol! Actually, am just happy my "juicing" gave me that 8lb. drop and that I've been able to maintain that. I may do it again this week just for psychological motivation--but really, I am into the "eating healthy" lifestyle again, an that is my MAIN goal. As long as I continue to be MINDFUL and maintain good habits, I know the pounds will drop eventually. I'm grateful for extended Trespassing deadline, though, as 3/20 is not realistic for my total 25lbs. Mapril is! ;D

I'M STUCK! I haven't lost anything in the past 3 weeks, maybe 4 weeks, not sure. Good news is that I've lost 10 pounds so far. Good news also is that I haven't GAINED any of it back. Trying to be positive!
Can we talk about CALORIES here? I've been doing the low carb diet & I like it because I'm not hungry between meals. But I think maybe I've been eating too many calories. Those yummy chocolate Atkins snack bars contain only 2 carbs, but they have 240 calories. The bottom line is that it takes a certain number of calories to maintain your current body weight. In order to lose weight, you gotta eat less calories. Even if you keep the carbs low, you still need to track the # of calories you're taking in.
So I've decided that I'm going to track the calories I'm eating & see if that will help. I found this great FREE App for iPhone (available for Android too) called "MyFitnessPal" where you can input all the food you eat & it calculates nutritional values & calories. According to my height & current weight, if I consume 1200 calories a day, I will lose 10 pounds in 5 1/2 weeks. So I started tracking calories yesterday & we'll see if I lose any weight this week.
And I bought a juicer! We have these discount stores here in the South that get salvaged items & "open-box" display items from Target & Kohls & other stores. I saw a Jack LaLanne juicer (box opened, but all parts there) with a retail price of $140 & I got it for $25. It was just too great a bargain to pass up! Of course, juices made with fruit in them can be high in calories, so I'm gonna get some greens & veggies & try for a lower calorie concoction.
Just because I'm not losing right now, I refuse to give up hope. If there was a magical way to do this, someone would have discovered it long before now. Patience & persistence will win!
Congrats to all of you who have lost this week! And especially CONGRATS to all of you who haven't lost but are still trying! Keep up the good work!

Checking in; no weight loss to report this week. I'm so excited about Sonisphere. I have a relative in London I could stay with but the crowd just looks too scarey and I would be too short to to catch even glimpses of Adam. I'm hoping for a concert DVD!
Hang in there everyone as long as we end up exercising more and are eating a healthier diet we can't lose.
