Well, got a non-functional scale (yesterday said I gained 4 lbs and today lost 6 lbs). Need to get a new scale. Any recommendations? Been a little out of control so I expect I gained a little, trying to increase exercise. Not giving up!

I wish I had a recommendation for a good scale. We moved our scale to another room, and apparently it makes a difference to the scale what room one is in. I weighed more in my guest bathroom than I did in the bathroom off our bedroom. My present scale is a weight watcher scale. You might not want to get that one.

Monday - Check in Day
Seems like ground hog day, again. Ok for those not up on all American movies there is one out there called "Ground Hog Day" starring Chevy Chase. The day repeats over and over and over and he keeps saying "It's Ground Hog Day, again." He's a newscaster reporting on if the ground hog sees his shadow or not which for some strange reason is supposed to predict how early spring will come.
So anyway, enough movie talk. How's everyone doing?

I stayed the same this week. I expected it after last week. My husband lost 2.5 lbs. Still hanging in there. I am so excited for Adam and Sauli and the wonderful night they had last night. I can't sit still. Maybe I will lose a little with this hyped-up metabolism. Stay focused.
I am going to Ft. Myers Wednesday for a visit with my brother and his wife. On the way, Jerry and I are stopping for lunch with mangokat and her husband. I can't wait to meet them. She will be the first person I have met from this website. I am excited about that.

irish ...same as you...stayed the same as last week. I am down maybe a few ounces but I cannot in good faith say it is bang on for another full half pound.
Goal was...and still is 10 pounds ...down 5.5 thus far. Many times with exercising and changing that fat to muscle ...I do not always loose weight right away, and I am not dissapointed. If I had been hard core with eating and exercise then I might be...but I still have a month and have been good about both but not strict. See you next week!
edit: came back to check...where is everybody!!! Working out??? Guess I should get out of the house too! Going for a skate this afternoon!

Okay. I missed last week and I'm not sure what I reported last time but: Goal 25 lbs. Total to day - 6 1/2 Not a very good total considering how "good" I've been. I'm definitely sticking to low carbs but not exercising enough I guess. Nevertheless, I'm still losing and I still haven't lost my resolve - surprisingly enough. Last week I forgot to check in because I got caught up in the Sonishere frenzy. I'm going with DH. YaY So now I not only have more time to lose because of the album delay, but I also want to lose for the trip. :D NEWLY MOTIVATED.

Checking in but not going to report stats because I'm afraid to get on the scale. :( Two problems. First, Girl Scout Cookies. Hard to resist the cute neighbors selling them and once the cookies were in the house I was not able to resist eating them. Second, freaking out about going to Sonisphere. Even though I'm looking forward to it, I'm still freaking out about it and when I get nervous I eat. On the positive side, I can use going to Sonisphere as a motivation to lose weight before July, just have to get my head back in the right place. Also, the cookies are gone. Hope to get back on track this week and check in with numbers next week.

Well, I'm still here but not scale yet. I ordered a Eatsmart Precision Plus Digital Scale. Does anyone have one of those. I suspect I've gained a little, but will be difficult to tell much because the old scale probably wasn't too accurate. Still working on it!!

Checking in...Forgot to last week...down 3 for the past 2 weeks, total of 12 overall. I'm 3 pounds away from my previous low, and that was when i was training full force for a triathlon, so I'm pretty happy with my results so far.
My biggest hurdle will be keeping it off. I've found I do very well when I'm in weight loss mode, but have to figure out how to do "maintenance mode". I tend to be an all or nothing sort of person.
Hopefully by Sonisphere I will be a lean mean fighting machine...cuz I intend to make my way to the front of the crowd!! Incentive to get stronger!!
