Thanks jablea for keeping the thread alive, and to those who show up to share our weekly tales.
Still not well...Dr. said just a virus...so all I got from him was prescription cough medicine!! My voice started to come back on Saturday night, but no improvement since then. I just assumed it would get better each day.
Needless to say, I have been not excercising, and even with eating lightly, my food choices have not been all diet type foods...veggies don't cut it when I am not feeling well...cheese tastes darn good though.
Weight is half pound up from last week. I am not too worried about losing any more ...I have gone down a size and I do not want to lose a lot more as my clothes fit fine...and I do not want to have to alter more than a few good clothes. The seven pound loss has taken some off some of the chunkiness around the mid area, and that was my goal. I had actually lost a few pounds just before this diet goal group started up ...so I have lost 10 pounds since Xmas. Now I need to tighten up and maintain. Good luck everyone.

Goal:30. This week 1 +. Total: 20 oops up one, but, it was my birthday week, and multiple cakes and girls nights were involved, lol. So only 1 + is amazin! Irish, way to go. I want to keep losing some, and shape up too. I'll hang in here too. Stamps gal, hope your feeling better soon. I am still in a state of shock over the snippets. Omg, I am counting the days till 5/15 ! This album is such a triumph for Adam ! Keep flailing and dancing this week ! Edited- damn IPod changes FLAIL to fail every time, lol

It's Monday Again!
Yeah, a bit of a downfall this week. So net gain instead of loss. But exercise is up, overall feeling fairly good. Hope those of you not feeling well last week are better now.

I lost 2 lbs. this week in my quest to lose 19 lbs. in my second session. That makes 4 lbs. all together. I can only keep on struggling, and it is a struggle. I do feel a lot better since we started this whole weight loss blog. I think there is less pressure on my knees, and I am walking farther without pain. My clothes are getting loose, and I feel looser with better balance. Even though I have a lot more weight to go, my entire weight loss so far has made a difference. Again, I say, thanks for continuing this website.

Checking in! Surprised myself. :D
My goal was 10. Total loss from our start date 8.5 lbs. Down a pound since last week. As mentioned last week I don't want to lose too much more...just need to tighten up now. I have not worked out for 2 weeks plus as I have still got laringitis/cough, but feeling much better. Funny that I lost weight on the week I was feeling a little better and just had the residual effects of the virus. I am going back to the walk-in clicnic to see if there is anything I can do to get my voice back to more normal. Keep the faith ..appreciate the small group of us still working on our goal...I need the motivation. ;D

G'day I'M BACK !!End Goal: 10K LOSS 2WKS: 1.2K ----- TOTAL LOSS: 8.25K (converter says 18.1lbs) I'm reporting in for 2 weeks ... had another steady/good weight loss ... I have started a different exercise routine, it is a lightly structured 2 x 15 minute (daily) "journey' around my home (it was sketched out for me by a physiotherapist). What is involved, is stairs (I have 2 flights of these in my home) spurts of speed walking around the house and garden ... resistance movements using large elastics and light hand weights - and kitchen bench presses. The optional part is an additional 15 minutes on the treadmill .. (I'm doing this at least once a day) I'm enjoying listening to the Trespassing snippets while treading. It is so great to read that my fellow battlers are seeing results, CONGRATS to all what a determined and resilient group we are !!! Keep up the good work everyone , Cheers Ladyoz

nocturnalThought I'd send you a "late" birthday greeting .... no cake though .. just some virtual flowers and a real smile !! Whenever I see your name on postings, I always think of my favorite nocturnal creature : the Australian Masked Owl ..... in the winter we often have a night-time bonfire and a Masked Owl, who lives in the reserve behind us, will come and sit in a tree overlooking the fireplace .... I like to think it is enjoying our talking, singing and laughter - but in reality is probably watching for any small creatures we flush out with the flames and smoke - LOL !!

You can't listen to your personal copy of Trespassing with headphones until you meet the goal.
and/or you have to give $20 to Danny Gokey's charity.
The Rules to Win
At anytime during the 15 days you can not weigh more than you do on your next weigh in which must be completed by tomorrow morning.
At least once during the 15 days you must weigh in at the 5 pound loss.
For international folk the goal is 2 kg.

I would love to lose 2 kg in the next 2 weeks. I gave birth to my son 10 months ago and I still need to lose 7 kg to go back to my usual skinny. Plus I am spending the summer in Europe. I want to be in perfect shape ETA: the problem is that my thyroid is under-functioning and I can't easily lose the extra weight. I feel the medicine I have been taking for the last 3 weeks is finally working, and it looks like my metabolism may be slowly getting back to normal. I feel optimistic now...
