Yay players! I sheepishly modified my post to give us the correct number of days. Weeks only have 5 days in them right? lol So 5 pounds 20 days. Yep, doable and short term. I've been amazingly motivated all day.

nocturnalThought I'd send you a "late" birthday greeting .... no cake though .. just some virtual flowers and a real smile !! Whenever I see your name on postings, I always think of my favorite nocturnal creature : the Australian Masked Owl ..... in the winter we often have a night-time bonfire and a Masked Owl, who lives in the reserve behind us, will come and sit in a tree overlooking the fireplace .... I like to think it is enjoying our talking, singing and laughter - but in reality is probably watching for any small creatures we flush out with the flames and smoke - LOL !! LadyOz, thank you for the birthday wishes! The owl is beautiful, I love them too. I live in a wooded area, we've had a Great Horned Owl pair around very winter. I realized I didn't check in this week, so, Goal: 30lbs. This week 1 lb. Total: 22 lbs. Flailing and dancing to the Kimmel videos comming in. Going to juice this weekend to kick start that last 8 lbs ! Good Luck trespassers!

I lost 1lb. this week. That is 7 lbs. for the month of April (2 lb. of that 7 I lost, gained, and relost). I suppose I should say 5 lb. for the month but I am not going to say that. I am going to say 7 lb. for the month of April. I have now been on a diet since January 2 and I AM SICK OF IT. SICK OF IT.
Okay, I got that out. I am now on my way to lose some more weight. I just had to vent. I ate two 100 calorie frozen yogurt bars last night because I was depressed. Now I am not. So on we go to victory. I am going to lose this weight. I am going to lose this weight. I am going to lose this weight. I am going to lose this weight. I am going to lose this weight. Once and for all time, I am going to lose this weight. Onward and downward girls. Good luck to all.

I weighed in this morning and to my surprise...I lost more weight. I have been eating heathly but not rigid, and I lost more this week than when I was sick. So odd my weight never dropped the week I was sick?
Loss of 1.5 pounds this week MEANS---- I have reached my GOAL of 10 pounds (since we started our support group, and about, -13 since Xmas)
BUT I am not jumping up and down just yet.
I am sure it is a loss of muscle mass as I have not worked out in a month. (which is not good) I will put more back on when I get back to normal health wise, but I am starting fom a good weight. I have had the March 3 week virus that is now taking me into my fourth week. I went back to the clinic and there is nothing they can do with medications, as it is a virus. Flu/cough/ no energy. The laryngitis is persisiting; the addition of a sore throat is a b_____.
Keep up the good work everyone!!

Hey guys, I have not posted in a very long time, but I have kept doing my power-walk and/or street walking, plus keeping a semi-healthy diet ;-) News? I have lost 10 k :-) I am 2 and a half sizes down YAYYYY!!!!!! Ready to shake my ass to TP wearing nice summer clothes

emirakastan, and the rest of the shape up newbies, welcome to the group. With the music finally on it's way we'll shake our tushies a bit more and exercise that way too.
Irish, lol. It's not a diet, it's a lifestyle. We have been at this a long time haven't wee. Your one month loss equals my whole half year though so it's definitely working for you.
For the rest of us 5 in 20 folks (lose 5 pounds before listening to our personal copy of the music) I've been able get down 3 but I'm still looking for the other 2. Working downtown instead of at my house has helped. I'm taking a lunchbox to work, ha.

I am starting the month of May with a loss of 1 lb. That is it. I am still on the diet (lifestyle). I have been up and down so many times I can't even begin to count them. I have been dieting since I was 16 and weighed 150. I was only 5' tall so that was pretty hefty. I would give anything to be 150 now. That would be a good weight for this old body. Oh well, I will keep on truckin' along.
