emirakastan, and the rest of the shape up newbies, welcome to the group. With the music finally on it's way we'll shake our tushies a bit more and exercise that way too. Irish, lol. It's not a diet, it's a lifestyle. We have been at this a long time haven't wee. Your one month loss equals my whole half year though so it's definitely working for you. For the rest of us 5 in 20 folks (lose 5 pounds before listening to our personal copy of the music) I've been able get down 3 but I'm still looking for the other 2. Working downtown instead of at my house has helped. I'm taking a lunchbox to work, ha. dyg that is amazing... a whole new wardrobe!!!as a reward. jablea ...your right about the healthy lifestyle and my problem is I am not consistent. After xmas, I knew it was time. I have done okay on eating fairly healthy most of the time. But the snacking and sweets killed off the good meals I was making. So just by cutting out or back has helped me lose those 10 pounds. The motivation is half assed sometimes. I work out for a bit then not. Now that this virus has almost run it's course...it is time to step up and step out. Good work everyone....and good luck keeping on target for next week's check in.

posting again after a 2 week break .... End Goal: 10K LOSS 2WKS: 1.1K ----- TOTAL LOSS: 9.35K (converter says 20.6lbs) Great to see some new "faces" along the weight loss trail welcome all jablea and irish1139, I agree with you both - it's not really about dieting but about changing your lifestyle - I found that by being diligent, consistent and strict in the beginning, the "changes" slowly become the norm and part of my lifestyle. I dug out my old juicer end of January, out of curiosity after hearing/seeing the raves and results with Adam and Sauli .. . now I find that I'm juicing my lunch for 3 days each week (take it to work) .. I've become quite addicted to the "kick" I get from the juice and noticed how much energy I have in the afternoons. Juicing has become part of my lifestyle and equals more energy and helps me lose weight = WIN + WIN !! The last 2 days have been real exciting here at ATOP ... it's been so much fun following all the flailing with the streamed release of trespassing - been walking around with a big grin on my face all day - the passion I have for each song has surprised me ... like all the other berts, I can't stop listening to them online and in my head WOW

I stayed exactly the same. So discouraging. I love that podcast above. Those exercise notes were right up my alley. Now I am going to stand in front of my computer everyday. I think that will be my exercise forever. Loved that notion. I hope you all have better news than I did. I feel like I have to start over every Monday even though I had a very good week and stuck to less than 1200 calories a day.

I'm b-a-c-k! I gained a pound this week. I made some oatmeal cookies and ate a dozen of them. I have been awful this week. I lost my mojo. I have to get it back so I don't mess up all the good I did. We are traveling the third week in June and I have to fit into my new clothes. I will be terribly disappointed if I don't. Be back next Monday with better news, I hope.

HA HA omgosh..I put on three pounds...too much eating at nieces's bridal shower...only real food for dinner were croissant sandwiches. Yes there were veggies ...but I was hungry!!! Then the next day, when a group of us went out shopping for wedding stuff, we stopped for lunch. I held the seats while the others got food. I was going to get mine after they got back. Well my sister came back with fish and chips; she wanted to share. The whole weekend of company was like that.
Oh well maybe I can recoup this week with no company, no parties and no fund raising dinners to attend.

Hi, I have some very sad news, my husband suffered a serious stroke last week. I haven't weighed in, but I am more determined than ever to continue a healthy lifestyle so I can keep up the hectic schedule of hospital visits and work. also, I will need to be fit to help him in the months ahead. Please send Tim positive healing energy, he has a long road ahead. Still juicing. My doctor said I was eating a little too healthy, and needed to add a bit of carbs, lol. Never expected to hear that. Dancing to Trespassing for exercise, and working in the garden every morning before I go to the hospital. Keep up the hardwork, and don't let the lapses get you down. Just make a healthy choice the next time. No regrets, just visualize a healthy you, and move on! keep dancing, and berting I love, love, love Trespassing, this album is nearest perfect.

nocturnal
I was just checking back in and noticed your post.
All these things life throws at us... Your words indicate your attempts to keep your spirit healthy. Best place to start...the other stuff will follow.
My very best wishes for you and your husband...and I forwarded those in my moment of thought for future good fortune... in health and for your "family".
