“He was slated to be the next Superstar.” And then the AMA happened (my quote). Hard to believe so many people were so outraged that it almost destroyed his career. Luckily Adam’s incredible talent and that extraordinary voice plus his hard work overcame that debacle. Took a long time and I also think Roger and Brian choosing him to be the frontman for Queen was a game changer for him. It makes me sad though to think what could have happened if that hadn’t happened.

So excited to see Adam getting ready for Vegas! That suit is SO classy. And I love the suit he's wearing for Clash, too. Adam looks like he's in darn good shape, IMO.
That fun rendition of Bad Moon Rising is so campy and creepy. Love that song. Adam really gives it some extra scariness.

I've often wondered if Adam was a bit used to his club kid bubble, where pretty much anything went (except circles of fire on the head lol). He might have underestimated the faux conservative hypocrisy of the US, besides getting carried away and a bit too excited about this opportunity fresh off of AI. |

Adam looks great. Love the Dolce suit.
One of the things I love about Clash is that Adam is the only male judge with two women on the panel. On most of these shows there is a lone woman judge and the men. I know The Voice sometimes has 4 judges with two males and two females but more often than not it is three males and one female. Neither Idol nor TV have had a lone man on the panel so that is great for Adam and allows him to stand out.
I think what went wrong with the AMA's (besides the controversy) were they were hell bent on staging this big pop extravaganza. And Adam and his unique talent, stage presence and charisma got lost. I'm still not convinced that most of that mess was Adam's idea. The hype had been about Adam Lambert performing and not about how many people you could get on that stage with him. It seems someone was thinking more about the big stage performance they could put together and not so much about Adam's ability to command attention. The FYE video is one of my favorites, and there were others in that underground club, but it was Adam who was center stage and stole your heart.
