So many thoughts about the death of Meat Loaf! First, he was an amazing performer with a big, strong voice. Lots of hits, too. A true trail blazer in visual rock music.
So cool that he saw Adam's talent and spoke about it publicly right away after Idol. I hope those comments he made praising Adam will be viewed by tons of people, including the interview where he says Adam is only one of three singers to have amazing "overdrive." Whitney, Aretha, and Adam. Great trio!
Also, fans will be viewing Meat Loaf's performance as Eddie in RHPS. I hope by association that viewers will discover Adam's own performance of Eddie. It's SO good! I want more people to discover it.
RIP, Meat Loaf. You made an incredible mark.

Adam's "Underneath" is such a beautiful and emotional song. It makes me want to cry. If only it had been given a chance to compete with a radio release and push. It is such a shame that some of his best work was heard mostly by fans. And the masses only get to hear what a great vocalist and performer he is when he sings the songs of others on tv shows because his own songs are unknown. However, I will always love QAL because it gave him an opportunity (and financial rewards) to be seen and heard and showcase his extraordinary talent. Everyone knows the songs in the Queen catalog and Adam is one of the best rock frontmen and showmen out there.

Meatloaf‘s daughter replied. That's so kind of her. Adam and Meatloaf worked together?

Was driving late this afternoon, listening to BBC Radio 4 (showing my age…no more Radio One) I heard the news of Meatloaf followed by a couple of tribute comments… They read out this tweet above from ‘Superstar Queen Frontman Adam Lambert’. Sad news of course but lovely to hear Adam prominent enough to be quoted. edit: I often feel Adam is more ‘prominent’ here than anywhere!
