Very unpopular opinion here regarding "Underneath", which many liken to WWTLF as in the power of Adam's voice as well as its message. I don't like the song and I thought that a different opinion might be a good thing. It is just a tad too dramatic for me and I feel similarly about other songs like "There I Said It" or even "Soaked". More understated emotion as in "Runnin" or "The Original High" is more my vibe. Can't help it. Two of my favourites❗️❗️❗️ My thoughts exactly. I may enjoy some of Adam’s dramatic songs, but the bombastic songs rarely resonate for me. I cannot see those as commercially the best showcase for Adam. And they were not chosen to be. I do wish Avicii management would have allowed Avicii to honour the artists who recorded for the True album. I asked a DJ at a wedding to play Lay Me Down. The energy on the dance floor really revved up, and I made a point of saying it was Adam Lambert and they were surprised!! It is criminal, but the US and Canada radio rarely ever play his music. He may be resigned to that … but just makes me sad for him. A song like LMD ….have to think it would have gone far given a chance. Songs that are personal to Adam, he shares in his own concerts. Live in concert….those songs fit in ….and appease the many who love them.

Yep, I'm a ballad gal...love all the ones Sizzling doesn't care for lol. Songs like Soaked and There I Said It and WWTLF just make my heart sing. I can take or leave the dancy ones.
Good thing we have Adam...a style for everybody.

With regards to making a donation toward Adam's "Feel Something Foundation" in honor of his birthday, I will donate this weekend ahead of the big milestone and send a tweet about it, in hope that other fans will catch on. $40 seems like a reasonable amount, but others may feel differently, which is okay by me. I don't think that anybody should feel pressured during these challenging times. I agree with you regarding people feeling pressured to donate. My issue was more about the complete lack of talking about it or trying to promote something that Adam really would like. I guess it’s just that there was an excitement and a desire to support Adam in something that was important to him, for an important birthday. I just do not see that happening this time and I’m disappointed about it. And agree with me or not, I suspect Adam will be pretty disappointed too.
I promise to shut up about it now. How does the saying go? You can lead a horse to water but you can’t make a drink. I was planning on donating to Feel Something Foundation a little closer to Adam's actual birthday. Should we all donate on the day of his birthday or the day before or ?? I'm on Twitter and Instagram but don't have many followers compared to some. My handle is @beemerjean and I'll be sure to tweet out when I make my donation. If we all coordinated to donate around the same timeframe, it'd probably make a blip on Adam's radar! I agree, it would be nice to have the kind of numbers he had during his Charity Water days but, unfortunately, time has changed things a bit since then. Also, does anyone remember when Adam held a contest where the winner would have lunch with him? I think it was in 2020 and the first winner was from Australia but didn't respond in time so another fan was chosen. Does anyone know if the winner was able to meet with Adam?

Good thing we have Adam...a style for everybody. LOL! I think we are on the same page. If the more club like songs had taken off, and were played all the time on radio, like the divas and the young artists, I would have been so happy for him. But they were not. But his beautiful ballads never got a chance. I know many fans said they were not commercial (most anything is commercial when played a lot) but tell that to Adele, SS, Bruno, Ed and Many others who had success with ballads and are playing in arenas and even topping top 40 charts. And there was no reason why both types could not be released for Adam. He seemed to be the only one that even his fans wanted limitations placed on for the type for music that anyone would want to hear. IDGI and I guess I never will, lol. But we all know the kind of music he sings that get the press and everyone else to sit up and take notice. And it was never the dancy songs that got everyone talking and singing his praises. Just my opinion but ballads and rockish might have done better. But that window has long passed so I'll be happy to just hear some music from him.

I've made a donation, ahead of time in case I forgot on the 29th - it is my first grandchild's birthday also. Didn't have any issues - just hit the donate button, bypassed the "do you have an account login" question, and proceeded on the the "paypal" option, which allows you to use any credit card, actually.
My opinion while I agree that "Underneath" is a tour de force for Adam, but it is not a radio-friendly song. It's a performance of ripping the bandages off hurts and fears, albeit with the affirmation of inviting listeners to understand his truth. Even the Avicii collaboration might not have made it to top 40 radio - around that time I was listening to bpm and other electronic formats on Sirius radio (hour commute and back each way for work) and there were precious few cross-overs.
I'm not even sure why radio play is validating today for the direction Adam is taking. He is a songwriter/singer, not a choreographed performance act, which seems to be the launching point into radio or streaming lately.
