lurleene, you are so right. Underneath is Adam's WWTLF, IMO. It's his tour de force. And virtually no one has heard it except his fanbase. So glad he finally sang it in Vegas. It's so true that Adam's fine music does not get out there as it should, and much of the accolades he gets are for his performances of other people's music. As nice as that is, it must be very frustrating for him. His own music should be the amin entree of his career, not just the side salad. Hope that changes sometime.
And SophieB, I agree that Adam seems to have a stronger following (and exposure) in the UK than he does in the US. I know the Queen connection is part of that. It's all good, but I wish the US and the media here would wake up more.
So cute that he is not ready to show any silver quite yet. I can't blame him. I wouldn't either.

And that is the part that is so frustrating. He is all over the tv in the US and always in demand. Kennedy Honors, Girl Crush, Elvis, Idol (as an superstar alum), Clash, The Voice finale, RHPS, and various tv specials. When he has new material out, he is one of the few Idol alums who still gets invited to GMA, Ellen, Corden, Kimmel, Kelly and Ryan, Fallon, Kelly Clarkson show, Drew etc. Rollingstone, Billboard, ET and many publications hang on his every word and they cover him solo or for QAL. But he never got the level of US radio exposure that he gets in other ways here. It is very annoying.

People here are complaining that others don't appreciate and/or give Adam his due. True. But...what are we doing. His 40th birthday is coming in just over a week. He has put out a call and asked us multiple times to show our love and appreciation and generosity by donating to his community via his charitable foundation Feel Something.
When he turned 30, we all tweeted and retweeted, and made a huge fuss about it and raised $300,000 towards his preferred charity at that time: Charity Water. Adam was interviewed and praised in multiple media...his name was in the news for weeks...he was pictured with the charity and his fans were praised and noted by Adam, by Charity Water, and multiple media outlets not just for days, but weeks, months and even years. It still comes up periodically.
I have called out and suggested, on this forum, that we make some noise...and to tweet something out or otherwise try to get a buzz going. I am not a heavy hitter on twitter at all but most of my Mzsue account is populated by Adam fans. When I retweeted one of Adam's feel something.org asks, with rah rah comments of my own...not so much as a copy, retweet, reply or like. I do not care for myself at all....but that would not have been the case 10 years ago. If we cannot give a damn, how are we to expect radio or any other media to. Here, there was one thanks for the reminder, and a "We can't all afford that much" comment.
If it were just that this forum had changed its membership and tenure, that would be one thing. But I am on twitter regularly and I follow some of the biggest fan twitter accounts...and nobody there is saying much either. It is no good waiting till the last day...that may boost the dollars a bit but not have the reach that a lot of social noise would have. We are looking pretty sad at the moment. jmho.

Very unpopular opinion here regarding "Underneath", which many liken to WWTLF as in the power of Adam's voice as well as its message. I don't like the song and I thought that a different opinion might be a good thing. It is just a tad too dramatic for me and I feel similarly about other songs like "There I Said It" or even "Soaked". More understated emotion as in "Runnin" or "The Original High" is more my vibe. Can't help it.
With regards to making a donation toward Adam's "Feel Something Foundation" in honor of his birthday, I will donate this weekend ahead of the big milestone and send a tweet about it, in hope that other fans will catch on. $40 seems like a reasonable amount, but others may feel differently, which is okay by me. I don't think that anybody should feel pressured during these challenging times.

My issue was more about the complete lack of talking about it or trying to promote something that Adam really would like. I guess it’s just that there was an excitement and a desire to support Adam in something that was important to him, for an important birthday. I just do not see that happening this time and I’m disappointed about it. And agree with me or not, I suspect Adam will be pretty disappointed too.
I promise to shut up about it now. How does the saying go? You can lead a horse to water but you can’t make a drink.

I'm not on twitter, Mszue, but I will be donating. I too am not on twitter or any other social media sites, mszue, but I do appreciate your thoughts. I too will be donating, but in my very limited capacity, I'm not able to make much "noise". Hopefully people will catch on and give Adam something to be proud of for his big birthday.

Well I am on the verge of pulling my hair out. I was going to wait for some kind or organized effort as mszue suggested. But decided it wasn't going to happen so I would just donate. I have donated to Adam's foundation many times. But all of a sudden I can't get in. I tried several times yesterday and again today. It keeps asking me for a password. Honesty, I don't remember using a password to donate before. But if I did, I don't remember what it was. I asked for a reset and have received nothing in my email account. I'll try again but then I'll have to give up.
