But, so what? Hasn't Adam said that when he was criticized for being theatrical, he thought 'well, pop music is theatrical - look at Gaga.' But, he got tired of the comparisons, eventually. Durbin got tired sooner. Does that make him so horrible? Yes, I noticed he made the same point Adam did. That's because . . . he's trying to make the same point. Let's not forget the media doesn't always provide direct quotes. It could well be that he referenced Adam tweet and they chose to leave that part out. Yes, the media can (and will) play it out any which ever way they want. They know they'll get hits if Adam is mentioned. Media will want to play up "the duel" : between the two even if there are no comments from either of them. It's about ratings, remember. It's all good, Adam gets mentioned in the press on weekly basis, favorably. The only negative thing I can think of, if the fandom starts harping on Durbin. He's not a threat to Adam, just a guy trying to live his dream.... It will be interesting to see, how far Durbin goes in the competition and what kind of career he might develop post-idol.... not sure he's mature enough to handle it all, with or without his condition. So glad Adam decided to wait until season 8, he was ready and it shows. A great rollercoaster ride is waiting for us, so hang on! ;D ;D

Wow. No matter how many times I see it, I still gasp a little when someone posts a picture of the celebrated Glambulge.

James Durbin is not the enemy because he dared reference Adam Lambert as an inspiration for doing harder rock than has been done before on AI. He is not the enemy because he got tired of comparisons between him and Adam. He wouldn't even be the enemy (an artless, classless douche, etc. etc. etc.) if he'd said he didn't care for Adam. But he didn't say that - he said he liked him. James Catherwood earned a Glambert drove attack. This kid has not. I hope that doesn't happen. who exactly is attacking him? who said he was the enemy? You give an interview and say something about someone else, people are gonna talk...lol ETA: Imma going back into my cave and listen to acoustic aftermath some more. Later. Yeah, that's what I want to know. I don't get the ire. Who was attacking him? People were commenting (somewhat detachedly) about the entire situation. And speaking in general about their feelings regarding backstory about AI as an institution. I didn't perceive anyone attacking James. If they like him or not, it has little to do with Adam, other than most have made comments that it was a highly dubious move to invoke Adam's name then do the exact same song. And yes, the media is comparing them A LOT, but fine with me, it's free publicity for Adam and he comes out on top. FWIW, I was WAY more impressed with James Tuesday night than I have been the entire time. Like Adam, I thought he made huge strides in his control and tone (he needs to keep it low). He's an interesting character to have in the cast. Up until now, I have not cared for his personality as it has been portrayed, but again, he was far more palatable to me on Tuesday. ETA: LOL, let me clarify, I meant, Like Adam thought, not like Adam ever needed to improve his control ...

Then, if by some remote rock god miracle, it happens I can tell my daughter that it happened because of her .
