Hey guys - Numbers are up on MARCH'S Number thread, including the latest stats I have on AL! Please note tho'. I think RCAEd is smoking something today, b/c he just posted a set of numbers that match NOTHING that he (or Mansfield) has posted before. Methinks he needs to get some shut-eye and lay off the cappuccino.  |

bridget, just wondering if you watched the show at all, and saw when James talked about getting in high notes "the way Adam Lambert did." It was not the press asking him first. Or any press, for that matter. It was an unsolicited comment during Hollywood week.
I actually think if he is a fan of Adam and wants to emulate him, that's fine. My issue is that after 1 day of interviews, he is telling the press to stop comparing him when he's the one who initiated it.
ETA: Sorry, tinafea, I will not make one more comment about the Hollywood gossip article.

Ok, Imma speak my 2 cents. Now I am not a fan of James at all, and yes I give him a good natured ribbing as I do most contestants on Idol, and yeah maybe he brought upon comparisons to Adam by being a rock guy (which is not his fault) or singing ACIGC (Adam doesn't own the song) but so what. Obviously James is a fan or at the very least aspires to do what Adam did on the show, and that's not a bad thing in the slightest. Who wouldn't want to make a big impact when going after your dream? He may not be your cuppa but at least he is trying to do his own thing--metal schtick, which he is pretty decent at if we are gonna be totally honest here--and at least he isn't middle of the road bland. I don't think any intentional/unintentional comparisons should inspire hate. Maybe a good eye roll or two but that's it, because it's not that deep. I am pretty sure, even though I joke that he is Schmadam Schmambert, that he is not trying to single white male anyone here LOL. Not saying you guys are being unecessarily nasty, not at all, but I know that some will be and that is unfortunate. In the end just let the boy be who he is and sing his songs and if ya don't like it that's fine. He's really not hurting anyone. Ok. That's it. LOL. BUT IF HE COMES OUT TO SING MAD WORLD ON A CHAIR WITH HIS NETHER REGIONS LIT FROM BELOW THEN IT IS ON LIKE DONKEY KONG!!!!!!!!!!LOL Chunkey No one is hating no one. The conversation started cause James said that he's tired of the same question, being compared with Adam.And we said simply that HE started it to get attention so why complain now, especially so early on the show. ETA just saw Tinafea post. OK i'll stop.  |

I just thought I would share my daughter's fantasy for Adam's idol performace. She is 13 and is my RL Adam flail and squee comrade. She said "what if, after Adam's awesome performance of acoustic Aftermath and CD plugging, Adam takes a moment to tell Steven Tyler what a huge fan he is. Then ST tells Adam that he also is a fan and he jumps up on the stage and GNAFL and ST spontaneously sing "Dream On" together accompanied by a Monteriffic solo." My girl dreams big!
