Wow, I hope Javi feels better...how long has he been ill? Do we know what he has/had? How scary.

Yikes. I hope this firestorm settles down quickly and things will focus again on his album release and on Fairyland. I agree that his words were not taken as he meant them. He is not looking for the role for himself. He was just trying to make a point. Sigh. I'm am very excited to see Fairyland.

Adam is not afraid to speak up in general and he tends to defend his community's interest whenever possible, however I wish that sometimes he stayed tight lipped and let it go. I remember when years ago he had an opinion about casting for singing roles in Les Miserables and I wished he would have not said anything.

I wish there wasn’t catagorizing of people in this world…race, religion, politicalness, sexuality, amongst other separations & definitions. When reading Adam’s comment about a straight man playing a gay role, it brought to mind past interviews when he commented something along the lines that his sexuality shouldn’t come into play when it came to his performing/singing. I found his current comment & eyeroll emoji a bit confusing. Of course, he’s entitled to his feelings & opinions. It’s fashion week in Paris. Will we see pics of Adam there?

I dont even know if that was a recent statement or a recycled statement about cis roles, trans roles, and het to gay roles I see the point about more recruiting of gay actors to portray gay human beings.

Much ado about nothing, IMO.

Much ado about nothing, IMO. Adam's comment sure got lots of media attention though.. from Billboard to NY Post and everything inbetween. I'm not bringing these tweets over just fyi.

I'm not sure a movie about George Michael would even be a big draw. The Aretha and Whitney movies have not been must see movies. Not even sure the Madonna movie will be big. I think Freddie and Elvis are just in different leagues of excitement tho Elton did pretty well. My guess is they will cast a guy as George (if they ever get it off the ground) who is twenty something or maybe early thirties, slim, sexy, good looking who can move. They would likely want someone with a little name recognition so I doubt they would specifically look for a gay actor. Besides, gay men have not been very vocal about non-gay men getting the parts. They were drooling over Nick Jonas and attacking Adam as jealous so I doubt sexual orientation will be an issue or consideration. And I think gay actors or any actor should be able to play any part that they fit, gay or straight.

As women we also get less opportunities (and less money when we do get the opportunity). Imagine if on top of that, female roles were taken male actors.
