I think their are great gay actors who have played great straight characters. Neil Patrick Harris comes to mind. But that’s different to playing or portraying a real person. Of historical importance. I agree with Adam, we need to see more Gay Actors. Rami Malek was phenomenal as Freddie. But I would ent mind seeing a lgbt actor portray George Michael. Anyway, as they say, all publicity is good publicity.
