I see it's going to be another day where fans have put on their Glumbert outfit. :( IMHO, it's early in the game. If BTIKM isn't moving up as well as it should then I think RCA will just have to push more. I seem to recall that when KA's LLWD was first released it didn't do much, then his label did a big push and the song eventually took off. I don't believe that RCA is going to let it all tank.

For some more perspective... Demi Lovato's song Give Your Heart A Break went for Adds yesterday on HOT AC along with Adam's. She got 6 Adds v. Adam's 5. The difference being that it doesn't appear that any stations had added Demi's song PRIOR to the adds date.

It is the same posters over and over again that jump on the least hint of trouble immediately. Their history reveals their bias. It would do us all well to remember that five prolific posters can easily maintain a very large online presence that makes it feel as if many people share their thoughts. I think that 98% of the Idol butthurt syndrome (my Idol is better than your Idol) is perpetuated by about 0.001% of the fans- a few dedicated trolls. Any time I read anything that seems overly dramatic the very first thing I do is look up the posting/tweeting history of whomever is passing it along and most of the time the results will make you laugh. And if you do it often enough you can tell who is posting what merely by the tone of their post- it's not that hard, LOL. And once you realize who is repeatedly posting the same gloom and doom theories it is easy to dismiss those "opinions" as the non-sensical agenda driven ravings that they are. And certain popular Idol blogs are hotbeds of residual butthurt and not good places to hang out if you are easily thrown into angst-mode.

The difference being that it doesn't appear that any stations had added Demi's song PRIOR to the adds date. Very true. Although, to be fair, Give Your Heart a Break is not the lead singer off of Demi's album, like BTIKM. And in fact, lead single was Skyscraper, which didn't really do so well on radio, even though it was a fantastic tune that got a lot of buzz. His fans are still pissed about that one, and rightfully so, IMO. Hollywood Records is kinda notorious for not being able to push songs to radio - Selena Gomez's Love You Like a Love Song notwithstanding. HR get trashed regularly on Pulse because of that. This is to say: I have found it almost impossible to compare song evolution on radio in order to predict how a song will do. There are some common variables, but then there are so many different one, it is exasperating. All I can do is have faith in the label. They clearly want Adam to do well. They have too much invested in this album at this point. They will push this, I have no doubt about it.

RCA and Adam want album sales. Hit singles usually drive successful album sales; however, it's not always the case. IMO, Adam will have a hit single (or two) from Trespassing. BTIKM? or next.
To me, the team seems to focus more on Trespassing as a whole. It's interesting that quite a few reviewers so far pointed to the difference between BTIKM and the rest of the heard/previewed tracks. Telling, really.
Not privy to the thoughts behind BTIKM launch. I do think they are more focus on positioning Trespassing's faster, hipper, newer sounds. A good thing, imo. BTIKM is a US bridge for the adult audience. It's yesterday. It will serve its purpose. Adam's younger audience is waiting for the next sound. Even though I personally enjoyed the live performances so far of BTIKM, I have heard comments such as 'that's not really Adam' from casual younger fans.
I have faith in Treapassing and am encouraged by the proactive ways it's been promoted globally. Adam will gain more fans internationally this era; Trespassing fits well. Yes, we love his incredible singing voice, but sometimes it's also great to just enjoy the beats, sounds, and production. Lots do.
Need Cuckoo. Seriously. Like yesterday...
ETA: Sorry, had to delete previous post. Fingers fail.

Ok. This is gonna be totally OT, so I'll understand if the admin deletes my post. I just wrote my test in school and have a very bad feeling of it. A person studies all days long and things go completely wrong. Don't know what to do right now as it was very important... Thank you all for this fandom which is the only thing that always makes me smile. At least, I'm happy that Adam is happy.ETA: Please, don't be angry with me because of my depressive mood... Maybe troublesome people should have never been born. That's the truth. Ame, sorry you are having a bad day. Sending Hugs your way. Remember that tomorrow is another day and hopefully it will be better.

When I first saw Adam's album cover, I immediately thought of this photo. Something about the expression and the "high collar".

Try thinking this way: Adam is doing all he can to put himself and his music out there. The Glamberts are doing all they can to spread the gospel of AFL. Adam counts real industry biggies among his fans. His label is behind him. He. Is. Not. Gonna. Fail. THIS - and everything else you said. ETA - Interesting point made by chasingeden about album vs single focus.
