Fuck this shit...I will support Adam by buying his album and stuff, but it is not my JOB to push his single/etc to success. That is his LABELS job and wtf if RCA ain't gonna do their job then I sure as hell am not gonna purchase 100 copies and bug every radio station every day....I have my own job, I don't need another one that won't pay me shit. I am just not that invested as a fan, i.e. someone will buy a ton of copies and gift and hit up every poll. I just never have been. I want him to succeed but I want RCA to do what they need to do--and hopefully they will and we are just being impatient as usual--and not have the success of this project rest strictly on the fanbase's shoulders and nothing else. Fuck that shit. #myeyeshurtandIamgrumpy Totally in agreement here, Chunkey. I LOVE Adam and have done everything I can to support his music. But there's only so much I can do. I have been requesting the song on mediabase from our local HAC channel--Q102 Cincinnati. And, they did play BTIKM on Sunday morning's "Next Big Thing" show again. The DJ intro'd it with--"This is the song I get more requests for--Adam Lambert fans LOOOOVE Adam Lambert." But, they still have not "added" it officially yet. Frankly, I really am not worried about it. I did not hear WWFM on this station until probably early February 2010; Adam performed it on Idol in mid-April. My HAC station was spinning it every hour or so in May. These things take some time to build. He has just started promoting it and the single sales are not going to be high until outside-the-fandom people start hearing it on radio or other places. A lot of people are just frugal and waiting to buy it with the album. To play devil's advocate, it is possible that Adam will never get a lot of radio support, but a lot of artists who are very successful are not played all the time on radio. I mean, I have only ever heard one Muse song on the radio, and haven't heard them in ages. I have never heard Bieber on the radio. They way they play the same songs over and over, I can barely take the radio anyway. I know it's important, but I just can't work up any angst over this anymore. I think BTIKM is a great song, it DOES get stuck in your head, and if they played it over and over on the radio, sales would go up for sure. But I don't think my requesting the hell out of it is going to get it there any sooner. And nothing can make me listen to the local Kiss Top 40 channel--argh, that is torture and I can't go through that even for Adam! If this album is as great as it sounds, then the success will eventually follow. With all the hard work Adam is willing to do, the great interviews he gives, the attention he might receive in the future from performing with Queen, and of course, his great fanbase, I think he will do just fine. We want it all for him right now, but sometimes, these things just take time to build. We can only push so much as fans. And I too am burnt out on these polls, etc. Ok, done with my mini-rant! Btw, that album cover is gorgeous and yes, it will attract people in the store! P.S. Chunkey, I love you! ABSOLUTELY !!!

Re: Trepassion I guess the BigMods are still asleep or something like that . Me Lil'One can't trespass to these things . Left a note though. Back to scripting Tutka now! LOL, good catch! I didn't even notice. Q3 being Freudian again? It's a good parallel, if not intended, play on words. It is a good Freudian slip! Q really knows how to call them, but really, think it's just a typo. But: TrespassionA whole lot of passion about Tresspassing - the cover art, the reviews of it, all the interviews Adam has done in the last week, and now the angst over the Toby blog, and the adds/or lack there of for BTIKM. I think sometimes we all just get so excited and want so badly for Adam and this song to skyrocket to the top. We know how great he is, it is frustrating that the Radio Gods haven't caught on yet like they should. And, we are a very protective lot of our dear BB, and fighting mad when he gets dissed or just not the credit he deserves. Think we all need to chill, bask in the glory of the amazing cover and interviews that Adam has done, and just enjoy the ride. KUDOS to gelly, haribert joky and wonderstruck for their posts.

It is the same posters over and over again that jump on the least hint of trouble immediately. Their history reveals their bias. It would do us all well to remember that five prolific posters can easily maintain a very large online presence that makes it feel as if many people share their thoughts. I think that 98% of the Idol butthurt syndrome (my Idol is better than your Idol) is perpetuated by about 0.001% of the fans- a few dedicated trolls. Any time I read anything that seems overly dramatic the very first thing I do is look up the posting/tweeting history of whomever is passing it along and most of the time the results will make you laugh. And if you do it often enough you can tell who is posting what merely by the tone of their post- it's not that hard, LOL. And once you realize who is repeatedly posting the same gloom and doom theories it is easy to dismiss those "opinions" as the non-sensical agenda driven ravings that they are. And certain popular Idol blogs are hotbeds of residual butthurt and not good places to hang out if you are easily thrown into angst-mode. 2 years ago this sort of behavior drove me nuts and felt the need to defend any position I took. Now I just laugh it all up. Its pretty funny, especially when you take the position of owning your opinion and not feeling the need to have defend yourself with statistics. LOL No one needs to agree with me... and for this audience, I'm not going to convince them otherwise.

Bringing this over from is from the early morning hours: I know only one thing for sure -- RCA cannot be happy with the single's performance. One sign that this is not the single that RCA hoped is that Adam did two important performances of the song on TV and the track did not move that far up the chart. BTIKM went up 700+ spots on itunes after these two performances! After watching every Idol that has a record contract releasing their singles over the past three years, I have come to the conclusion that late night talk shows NEVER give a song a substantial bump on the itunes charts! (even Kelly C.) Conan, Leno, Fallon, etc. barely register a blip on itunes after performances. Traditionally, Ellen or The View have given Adam bigger boosts on the itunes charts- just like Ellen did this time! If RCA was looking for something other than a 700+ spot gain, then they have not been watching what happens to songs after performances on shows like Leno and Ellen. They were expecting something that never happens.Ellen and Leno might have helped more IF RCA had constructed a sensible roll out plan for this single. BTIKM should have been released last week with tons of interviews, print media, and a big banner on itunes. Adam should have debuted his single on a major radio station. He should have had appearances last week and this week on SEVERAL morning shows and SEVERAL nighttime shows. RCA should have had several top 10 HAC and HAC stations lined up to add BTIKM this week. They should have already promised the big time radio stations exclusive acoustic radio shows, rights to first interviews, summer shows, etc. If RCA didn't already have these types of things lined up, it is failure on THEIR PART! They want better numbers? Then they need to do what record labels are supposed to do- Work the radio stations BEFORE the single comes out! The less than impressive sales numbers are not Adam's fault or his fan's fault. They are RCA's fault for having a shitty game plan! They've only had ONE YEAR to get it together! >:( Oh, and Toby K can bite me! He is FOS and nothing but a butthurt NAL stan! I love the title passive-aggressive-click-whore from yesterday's thread, because that is exactly what he is.

I just hope that everyone remembers we are all on the same side here. And there is a LONG road between "doom and gloom," and questioning what is happening with the single and how RCA is handling it. Adam is a different kind of artist. He is kind of paving his own way, and history has shown that he may need his people to work a little harder in opening some doors for him. And we have all seen just what he can do if that door is opened. Anyway, it's all just discussion There is SO much to be excited about right now. But, Toby is a tool. And I really don't trust much of anything he says when it comes to Adam, but that's just me I agree with you entire post - and especially the part I highlighted. I see nothing wrong with the discussion that's been going on. Given that we expected an explosion (well I did anyway) and it hasn't happened YET, it's perfectly normal to feel confused and even disappointed. Rehashing, second-guessing and questioning stuff is what we do here! I admit to having a tendency to angst at times but I flail an awful lot too. Maybe some of us are just more demonstrative than our zen sisters. All of us together make an awesome foundation of support for our amazing star imo. Ok and bullsfan - I SO agree with you about Toby K!!!

JazzRocks, thank you! And I like to think that this is a safe place where we can have honest discussions. We are all hoping for the best. Obviously, there are other places where even bringing up a hint of doubt leads to a shark attack. Since none of us work for RCA (or can pick up a phone and dial King Joe, lol) it can be confusing and frustrating and speculation is all we have to go on. I think we also all have different opinions on the importance of radio which plays into our feelings. I'm one of those maybe weird people who thinks, for Adam, radio hits HeWhoCannot amed album sales (not that I don't want huge albums sales, too). I know there are people out there who don't listen to the radio, and think Adam is fine without it. And it's all fine Everyone is supporting Adam as they are comfortable, and everyone wants him to be that international star. eta: One other thing, because maybe there are some others out there like me... I will freely admit that I was expecting this single to take off with a charge. Not like Gaga or Perry, but I really expected to see around 15-20 adds yesterday. I thought everything had evolved a lot further since FYE, and I thought RCA was being more aggressive. But that's all on me. So, please have patience with those of us who are maybe having to re-evaluate our expectations. It's not "doom and gloom," just a little shift in mindset.
