Since we're being divided into Debbie Downers and "those who look on the bright side" I guess I'll be put in the former category. I don't wanna be there but I think I am. Cause I have one more negative thing to say - I'm getting tired of the criticism of the DD's and the lecturing. As I said in an earlier post - we're all different here & we all bring something unique to the table. I hope we (the DD's) are not being chased away. If I wanted to leave I would've left by now.
Btw - I like your recent post better than the earlier one Q3. :D

12/1/09 Adam performed WWFM on Ellen The song did not have a lot of radio support at the time...12/1/09 MediaBase . POP: 82 61 ADAM LAMBERT Whataya Want From Me 286 76 210 4.102 +21 Spins +12 Bullet +0.371 AI HAC: 79 63 ADAM LAMBERT Whataya Want From Me 88 42 46 1.300 +4 Spins -2 Bullet +0.053 AI The album was out so fans who wanted the album did not need to buy the track. Before the performance: #169 After the performance: #108 (peak post Ellen) Remember the sales curve 169 to 108 is a big leap, 670 to 269 is not a big leap because the song was so far down the chart. I was expecting BTIKM to move up into the the high 100's -- around 180 -- not top out at 269. Maybe I had fan expectations. This is nothing against you, but I think you did! You have to remember that this performance was also in the midst of Adam's debut album release, after his AMA ordeal and people tuned in to see what Adam and Ellen were going to discuss. There was so much press swirling about over the AMAs and WWFM was his redemption song. This whole time period was a massive push for WWFM on itunes, even though many looked at the time post AMAs as a negative time-frame. When Adam did Ellen the first time around, everyone knew he had new music out. His album was already available. He was everywhere in the press. It only makes sense that performances and appearances during this time had much more potential to cause a big rise on itunes. Just the fact that WWFM was already at 169, instead of out of the top 1000 should tell you something. BTIKM wasn't even on most people's radar when Adam performed it on Leno and Ellen. WWFM was already way ahead of the game by the time Adam performed it on Ellen. I considered a 700+ place jump to be pretty impressive!

Maybe someone remembers which one, but Adam did an interview recently, and they where talking about Cuckoo. Adam stated that he "pushed" really hard for Cuckoo. Now the "pushed" comment was very general, but I took it as he meant he pushed for Cuckoo to be the 1st single since they where talking about BTIKM. I would bet Adam wanted Cuckoo as 1st single and lost out to the labels desires.

Got so caught up with not being down that I was looking up room rates in Santorini. That's usually my go to activity for a bad day. Am I going to Santorini? No! But it made me feel better to look at the pictures. By the way, Gelly, I will call you for advice if my plans ever materialize.

Even people who are generally optomistic are allowed to have moments of disappointment. It happens. It's normal. So I am disappointed BTIKM hasn't had a better start? It doesn't make me an "Eyore.". Why must we always try to put people in boxes?? It's early, the song's not done. RCA just has some work to do.

I think I remember some music guy saying that the plan Adam's label had for promoting Trespassing was going to be mega. Does anyone remember this?

We also went to Mykonos and Athens. Have fun doing a virtual vacation, one of my favorite things to do when feeling high or low. LOL.
