I'm not worried - I believe in Adam.

Hello everyone! Long time lurker here... I used to be a member in Planet Fierce, but rarely posted, if at all. I've decided to de-lurk today for three reasons : 1. I totally love, love, love the album cover and I just had to say it (type it!) 2. Ladybugs' post on page 3 re: asking kindly to request Q3 to please change today's thread title from 'Trepassion' to 'Trespassing' totally made me laugh out loud. (thank you, I badly needed that after a long day) 3. To agree with everyone that Toby is indeed a tool (just like Ryan) and should be TOTALLY IGNORED! Can't wait for the album. Happy Birthday khardt, magpie86.

Are we now required to self-identify as the nasty Debbie Downers or the perfect, wonderful ones now? What is with all the name calling and lecturing? and no...I am not talking of MJ's or elsewhere...I don't go elsewhere and have never posted elsewhere...just PF and the two incarnations of Atop. I personally am part of the great middle ground...but I thought the party line was tolerance....am I wrong? We all love in our own way and as long as we are loving....why the criticism.

I think there are a lot of views about what is going on but we know very little. I agree which is why I was surprised to see you claim that RCA was disappointed in the performance of BTIKM considering that it was you who claimed that nothing would even happen until the weks of ADDS anyway. I'm a big fan of facts myself so I'm curious what facts you're looking at to make the comments that you've made in the last few days about the single not being a hit in the making and RCA being unhappy. I'm neither an optimist or a pessimist. I'm a realist and the reality is that all I can do as a fan is enjoy the music Adam gives me. I can't worry about what RCA is planning or doing and I can't worry about itunes chart positions or first week sales or bumps from performances. Maybe my view comes from stanning Kelly for 10 years but the reality is whatever happens is going to happen regardless of what the fans want or how much they worry. I had a blast through Kelly's breakaway era where she was the biggest pop star on radio and I had a blast through My December, her supposed fall from grace. WHY? Because I'm HER fan and regardless of what the critics were saying or whether radio was playing her music she was still putting out music and I was still buying it. Then why or how would they be unhappy with it's performance so far? This seems to directly contradict your earlier comments and I think it's causing a lot of angst and confusion in the people who listen to you and hold you up as some kind of "expert" on this stuff. Again I agree with you which is why I don't get how RCA would be unhappy with the performance of the single so far.

Q3, you mentioned a while back that fans didn't need to give much effort to Z100. Just curious, was that complete speculation or do you have some kind of inside info. on this? Because this is an add that could push the song at least into the top 40. RCA may not have ever considered BTIKM to be a potential monster hit. But you can bet they were counting on top 10 HAC at least. I was told RCA had it covered and that fans should not request over the holiday break. That is all I know. The holiday break is over and ? I have no idea what is going on at Z100 and if they will or will not add the song.

FOR HEAVENS SAKE
He has to have a single hit - singles promote abum buying. Not one add today. What is going on?????????????????? It's a good song and catchy. I'm flabbergasted to say the least.

The songs that climb iTunes with big sales are the big, CHR hits. RCA knew this was a classic HAC song with eventual cross-over potential. That's why it was originally given an adds date for HAC first. So, the label may be disappointed with adds or the fact that radio is proving tougher than anticipated. But, no way can they be disappointed in sales or iTunes placement at this point unless they are completely out of touch. I still say Toby fabricated a little story to stir the pot.

I don't think people are being berated for being upset. I think people are talking about their feelings and how they choose to handle this. Everybody needs to vent a little. Everyone processes these kind of feelings differently and they are allowed to talk about it.

Sort of seems like a weird time to post this, but basically it's all I as a fan can do in a very small, and possibly symbolic way to help out with radio play. Requesting from my local stations (& the few national ones) takes at most, 3 minutes a day, and though it's sometimes a hard choice between requesting and watching a lulzy cat video on youtube or pondering the weekly groupon email to decide if I really want new towels or lazer hair removal, i'm making the sacrifice :D link to local and national radio info for requesting here: requestadamlambert.com/as an added bonus, today's write up there has some soothing comparative add info balm.
