I have a question. I think I read that this Toby dude said it was from "a source close to the label". Soooooo. This could be the UPS guy, the Chinese delivery dude, the chick from Pizza Hut? So the scenario is that RCA and the Toby dude order from the same Chinese takeout place and the delivery guy tells Toby he overheard someone talking the phone at RCA? Seriously? That's my story and I'm stickin' to it. ;D Lmao, this is hilarious! I think I should adopt this same theory.

First of all, here is what I posted last night.... I have no idea what RCA has told Toby but the track sales for BTIKM are not great .....
I know only one thing for sure -- RCA cannot be happy with the single's performance.
.... I am not giving up on BTIKM but numbers are numbers and the track does not have really good numbers so far. see the part where you say One thing I know for sure? That's kind of stating it as a fact... IMO anyway. RCA released the single in the deadest possibly climate both for radio AND for sales and what expected that it would shoot to #1 on itunes? I really have a hard time believing that considering that Adam had been off radio for well over a year and even then he'd had an uphill battle getting radio play. What numbers though, I think that's what I'm not understanding. The chart position on HOT AC with no promo to speak of or the sales figures to date with little or no promo and light radio play? Adam sold in two weeks what it took WWFM four weeks to do and WWFM had a bigger push and an actual "story" behind it with the AMA performance. Sorry, again no offense, but I gotta call bullshit on this. Adam's fans don't "share" shit... now we'll gift like motherfuckers but we ain't giving his stuff away for free ya best be believin that. If the fans are waiting for the album and the casual fans haven't heard it yet, who exactly bought the 63K that he's sold to date *that we know of*? Again I'm confused Yes and yes... which RCA would know and therefore wouldn't be unhappy with it's performance so far.

First of all....WHY THE HELL IS ANYONE TAKING ANYTHING THAT HIT SEEKING ATTENTION HOAR IS SAYING TO BE TRUTH?
Srsly.
Secondly....RCA can't be happy with the numbers so far? Erm WAT? They *just* started pushing it so how can they be disappointed that a single THAT NO ONE BUT FANS KNEW EXISTED AND HAD HARDLY ANY PROMO AT ALL is doing so far? I mean I think it did awesome for having absolutely no push when it dropped.
And if RCA is in fact disappointed then they can shove the R up their A because it's their job to push this thing so whatever.
That being said, here is something to chew on:
From Wiki:
Hrm. Innteeeresssting. LOL. Now I know MJ and Adam are MILES apart and to compare is kinda silly--MJ was already an established artist with hit music and albums and Adam is a newbie--but even this legendary album seemed to have it's issues and naysayers about it's initial single. AND LOOK HOW THAT TURNED OUT.
Just sayin.
I know we want the lead to smash--but at this point I would be happy with a moderate hit to be followed up by an AMAZING album that leaves everyone speechless. I think it will do fine--not maybe fine enough for some angsters--OF WHICH I NEED TO LEARN TO IGNORE BECAUSE IT'S ONLY MY FAULT FOR LETTING THEM GET TO ME AND I KNOW BETTER--but I think it will be ok in the end. It may climb slowly but I think it will be ok.

I think we all agree that Adam is capable of great things. And when I say great things, I say great music. I follow him because I expect something good and something different from him. So, if he ever release something like the crap that is on top of the charts nowadays, I would stop following him. I really think that he is interested in creating good tunes. And if that means he won't be "the greatest ever" it is OK with me and, probably, with him. And look it on the bright side: 1. Not being as Elvis or MJ is actually good news; both had awful lifes 2. Adam is not going to starve. The guy has a hell of a backup plan

Q3, do you really believe that RCA thinks single sales are low because of fans sharing the single? That's the conclusion RCA would come to? That doesn't even make sense. The sales are low because this is a HAC song by a guy who isn't already a radio staple with a song that isn't getting played yet. RCA planned the roll-out, so they also know there was no big debut on Z100 or KIIS or AI.
This label put out all kinds of stuff for the fans to buy last era, remixes, dvds, etc. They know this is a fan base that buys.

AFUCKINGMEN! Adamfans are ready to spend money on anything and everything that has to do with Adam! What other artist raises 300K for charity in a month's time? PLEASE!!!!
RCA is just pulling excuses out of their butts to cover their lack of a game plan. I'm sorry that RCA was ignorant enough to just throw the song out there with next to 0 radio support, but the fans bought the damn song and gifted it and everything else they could do!

There is o use getting upset over what RCA *allegedly* said to someone who never used to give a shit about A until he saw the power of their clicks...*eyeroll* We have NO PROOF whatsoever of what RCA thinks or doesn't think.
