Question: What is the BEST vid of the EMA performance that we have? Preferably the directors cut one that has the close ups of Adam in THMGO. I know somebody posted it the other night, but I can't find it. And 4M, I just looked through your EMA thread in performances, it is totally Awesome, Great Job!!!!! Yay for #38 on HAC! Breaking into the top 40 is the first step. Now he is just going to need the adds to keep climbing, so lets hope this will be motivation for some stations next week  |

Remember when Simon was patronizingly dismissive of Adam when he said he went on AI because he wanted to take songs and change them up and surprise people? Remember how he looked Simon right in they eye and asserted, "I can." And he did. That is one of my favorite moments from that season (although, since it was Adam's season, obviously there were a lot of favorite moments!). The great thing is realizing that, at the time, many viewers probably thought, as Simon did, that Adam was just blowing smoke. But he followed through big-time, and it wasn't long before Simon himself was praising his ability to make a song his own. Ack, it gives me happy chills just thinking about it! Glad you joined us, noreaster! Great first post. I, too, have been stunned by the posters at TWoP who seem to spend as much time hating Adam as I do loving him. There are a lot of performers that I don't like. I've never spent a single second on their websites or threads. Why would I? I figure Adam must have something special if even the people who claim to hate him just can't stay away! Me thinks they doth protest too much.... |

I'm kind of curious about when Adam decided the original album shoot, with the shaved sides, was not the look he wanted and switched to Lee. I am guessing, that after he saw the EMA performance, he said something like, "Ooooooo, so that's how it looks from the side and back!!!!" ;D

Yay, 38 on HAC!!!! This song is so not dead yet. And the AI (audience impressions) is at .897. Getting close to that 1 million mark where sales should kick in! |
