The original poster had the decency the delete the tweet Shosh was replying to, so it is hard to tell now who it was. Unless somebody took an actual screenshot... As far as I can remember, the post was bitching about the lack of play (and maybe promo) in the US. |

Thanks, Kryptoman. I don't need the actual fan tweet, I just felt like I walked into the middle of a conversation lol.
It's impossible to please everyone, whether it's tour dates, tour locations, promo, sales, streaming...somebody will bitch about something lol. But yes, it would be nice if fans would learn to grumble to themselves rather than put everything out on twitter.

Personally, I find the whole streaming numbers questionable...if you're having to stream somebody's music 24/7 nonstop, those numbers aren't organic, that's manipulating the system. Buying actual albums and CD's is a much more honest indicator of someone's success, IMO. Streaming 24/7 is like the early days, when fans (of any artist) would find ways to manipulate polls so they would artificially inflate votes for their favorite. And after all that manipulating of the streaming numbers, the one that benefits the most from the system is the streaming platform, not the artist. It's a scam, as far as I'm concerned. |

“5th Top Ten” is definitely something to be proud of and celebrate. It speaks for Adam’s fan base (and current team) more than a decade after it all started for him. I certainly don’t buy CDs anymore for anybody else but Adam. When I read the BB article I realized that I forgot that TOH peaked at #2 back then in 2015. Times have changed drastically since then. I was surprised that BB didn’t mention Adam’s #1 for Trespassing before TOH, which was groundbreaking for an out gay artist. Many important milestones for his “resume”.
I too saw Shoshanna’s comment on twitter yesterday encouraging Glamberts to celebrate 🎉, and I was wondering where it was coming from.
