I don't care for Bruno Mars at all. How he beat out Adam for the Grammy this year is beyond me. He's just not my cuppa. I agree he should never have won that Grammy over Adam - but I do like many songs on his album - of course they would be so much better with Adam singing them . ITA

Want to wish everyone who has had birthdays a Happy Birthday!
I like Q's team of the cool kids: #TeamAdamCanDoWhateverTheFuckHeWantsAndIWillLoveIt!
no caveats, no stipulations, no druthers, and anyway, the bottom line is:
Adam Will Do Whatever the Fuck He Wants And I Will Love It!

Hi guys!! I feel so out of the loop right now. Trying to keep up here at Atop is dang near impossible lately.
But...I do have to SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! about Adam on AI!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOTTTTTTTTT!!
RL has been a bitch lately, and by the time I get through a thread, it's way past my bedtime & almost everyone is gone.
Just wanted you all to know that I'm still around. Guess you'd call me a *lurker* now...hehe!
I actually have a day off tomorrow, so plan on joining in a bit more. Who cares if my house is clean?? HAH!!
Happy Birthday to all who have had one in the last few weeks!! Sorry I haven't been keeping up.
Smokeyvera, I know you had one....and thought of you when I read about it. Luv the pressie your kids gave you. They sound awesome!
Smokey, also read you had been down with the flu. Well, I was right there with you, along with a nasty pulled muscle in my upper back. It got so bad that my arm was getting numb because of a pinched nerve, I guess. Fianlly had to go to the Dr. and get some meds. Been a week now, and a bit betterer, but still sore. Sleep has been eluding me for a whole week. So frustrating!
Oh yeah, and I'm really PO'ed about the fact that they changed the days that AI is on. Thursday is my night to work late. Usually work til 7:30pm on Thurs. & don't get home til almost 8.
I'm going to be a bad girl and tell my boss that I have to be off at 6:30pm next Thurs. Not sure what I'm going to tell her as to why, but I'm going to do it. I miss all the daytime performances and have to watch on utube. I am NOT going to miss this!!!!
I do want to say how much I love all the awesome discussions that have happened here in the past weeks. I do read, just very quickly. You all rock so hard!!! And, all the gorgeous pics too!!!
Sorry this is so long. Wish I could play here more often. I'll keep trying though!!
Love you guys!! You're the best!!!!

Yeah, look at Dave Matthews band. There are only a few songs that ever had major airplay and yet they are one of the biggest touring acts year after year. That's because their fans loove them and are super loyal and because they apparently put on one hell of a show. Never seen them, not my kind of music generally, but gotta respect that. I'd compare them to, like, the Grateful Dead who are always touring and making big money doing so, even though to my knowledge they were never a radio band. I remember them having one radio hit when I was a kid in the 80's but that's about it. I saw the DMB once as part of Farm Aid with Willie Nelson and Neil Young. Not a huge fan of his but they definitely put their all into the show and have incredible musicians who do a lot of improvising and crowd interaction . And I was a bit of a Deadhead throughout HS and college. They usually played one place for multiple nights and everyone would camp out in the parking lot and go to all 3 shows because every show was completely different from any other show, hell they never really played the same song the same way. They had an amazing symbiotic relationship with their audience(reminds me of the infinity symbol) and some nights were off but people didn't mind because that's just what happens when you are flying without a net. But when they got it right it was magic. I think withhe Keshas of the world, you see em once and there is no point in seeing another show, it will be the same thing. I see this same thing happening with Adam's encores being the ones people get so excited about watching multiple versions. The magic that was FS WLL showed us that Adam would never be content to just keep churning out songs the way they sounded on the album. Sometimes the encores were a little off or the band and Adam couldn't always find each other to make a cohesive song and that's ok because they are just beginning to gel as a band in this way. The encore is really the only song with all the band members playing without a backing track so they are really just starting to feel their way. But I hope they explore this more next tour if possible. It does seem like you have to choose between big visual production or spontaneity, Adam manged to have a little of both, should be interesting to see what he will do with a bigger budget. More dancers or back up singers and another musician? Maybe he'll do so well he can have both. Sorry for the ramble , Chunky just made me think of the bands that have a big devoted following and why.

Glittergma - glad you are feeling better and recovered from the flu. Having back pain is no fun - but with your sunny disposition - it will be fleeting. Nothing like positive thoughts to recover faster. You can always feign really bad back pain on thursday, so you can leave early !!!

Adam Lambert loves 'sexy s**t' entertainment.ca.msn.com/music/features/article.aspx?cp-documentid=23466361Tucked away in a back corner of Watusi restaurant in Toronto, Adam Lambert, the guy with the stratospheric voice who came in second on American Idol, is trying to get through a day of press on two hours sleep. It's not like he was out late partying, not that night, anyway. He actually went to bed by midnight but awoke suddenly at 3 a.m. Must be all the excitement.

This just popped up on twitter. Not enough Adam, but it is fun watching him on stage! He's so beautiful! This will always be "one if these things is not like the others" for me, LOL It's the only time I liked DC. LOL yeah. Adam looks so put together and superstar ready while the other guys look like they just rolled out of bed. I love DC and think he's very sexy. His new promo shots are really great and dare I say, kind of Adamesque because he has on a crisp white shirt, skinny black tie and a shoulder holster situation similar to one worn by Adam. eta: I've always been on #teamadamcandowhateverthefuckhewantsandiwillloveit I just never had a name for that team LOL question though, why would Adam get a nose job? his nose is perfect already.
