I'm going to straddle the fence and say I'm on Team Integrated Adam.  I spent my early years madly attracted to and in relationships with dark, brooding Adams until I realized I was making those choices because I was suppressing my own shadow and needed balance. I had a great "aha" moment when I found myself equally if not slightly more to light Adam in the video. What? And then it happened, I came face to face with Integrated Adam at the end of the video and wanted to follow him home. He is devastatingly attractive! Has all my self-discovery and self-love work over the years finally come to a happy conclusion? Well, maybe for the moment. Of course this is my insight into myself and metaphoric Adam. When it comes to RL Adam Lambert, the person and artist, I equally love Dark Adam, Light Adam, Many-Shades-of-Gray Adam, and Fully-Integrated Adam. This video is amazing in so many ways! Adam is mesmerizing. I've loved reading everyone's thoughts and insights. I find new insights upon each viewing and get lost in my thoughts all over again. |

Mahalia, the review you brought over makes me so happy that the UK press are buzzing about Adam. i really really want him to blow up big over there! And I wanted to see my avi again, the minority Light Adam!  |

Of course if you're Sauli, you get both! ;D Speaking of Sauli, question for our Finland berts, is this weather you are having right now going to cause flight to be cancelled out of Sweden? Hope Adam can get back to LA, like he planned for a few days, before he has to go to NYC. :-/ Oh crap! I wonder where his connecting flight is because I don't think there are any non-stops from Sweden to LAX? I hope it isn't London, but I'll bet it is. |

Just read that Madonna is doing half time today without any payment.. 110 million viewers Her album coming out ,I think we know this March 26th..YAY after Adam. Yep. Super Bowl performers don't get paid. They do it for the publicity. I actually wonder if this album of hers is more of a publicity vehicle for her other projects. The light-as-air nature of her first single doesnt convey any artistic growth or new vision IMO. It's just kind of '80s throwback fun. That could work for a new kid on the block, I think, but one with her body of work?? IDGI |

I am hoping for a 3 set Tour --- Dark Adam, Light Adam, Joined Adam. Cause I love all the Adam's. But if I can only have one -- I want Dark Adam. ETA: And looking at some of the AO.com fan response -- most fans prefer Dark Adam. Q3, Dark Adam is only for Adam fans.... the Light Adam is for mainstream America... ;D ;D.. so everybody's happy Oh wow, that you're saying this, because this was my thought too. It's like Dark Adam is what media sees and display, how he is when he's partying and touring. And Light Adam is when he's being papped at stores, when he's doing interviews. Dark Adam is what majority fans prefer it seems, when he's being his most uninhibited self, wild, crazy, and spontaneous. Light Adam is what is most acceptable among the mainstream audience. |

Hello, everyone, here on Atop :D I wanted to say something about THE VIDEO :D All interpretations boil down to the same Light Vs Dark, Yin/Yang, Freudian Id/Ego/Superego thing, which is all true and correct and perfectly illustrated by this: But they are also physically connected, in spite of the thin glass dividing them. They share air, through joined air pipes. They are one , and even if they wanted, they couldn't live without each other. Which they don't want to begin with. The minute DA realises he's going to kill LA with fire induced lack of oxygen, he saves him. But he's also saving himself, and he knows it. It's not so noble a gesture as it is an intelligent one. If LA dies, he dies, too. OMG! Their air pipes are joined. They share pipes. Could Adam have really gone that far in the symbolism? Singers refer to their instrument as "pipes." As in, "He's got a wicked set of pipes." And, of course, Adam, in any incarnation, is all about his pipes, his voice. That is the one unifying trait in all his musical sides. The video could have represented the air supply differently, without those pipes showing. So, do you think he really meant to refer to his voice??? Or is that way over-interpreting the video? |
