So...we keep analyzing the vid (duh, of course, great job, guys!) .... So many of us get deep into the possibilities and say "maybe I'm making too much of this, but...." I'm thinking that Adam has over-analyzed this way more than we have. He's a thinker. We may have come up with some meanings that he did not intend, but I'll bet we haven't yet figured out everything he sees in it. So keep on analyzing! It's great fun and very educational.  |

This is exactly why I never "like" it. I do not want that all shows on facebook page. 8-) I'm so ashamed to say that but I personally have a problem with revealing my AL obsession. It really bothers me because I love him very much but I worry my friends would hurt him by some very 'funny' comments. Maybe I'm totally shallow but that's because Adam is kinda controversial. Though, recently I've been thinking hard whether to take a risk and add his video to my FB page so others could see it... I'm such a bad fan  I have two facebook accounts. I use one for RL friends who I occasionaly post fandom stuff and a second one for voting and submitting comments. You only need seperate Email accounts. J" |

I have a problem with the "Versus" part. The Light and the Dark Adam are not opposed to each other, or against each other in any way. To me it's obvious from the start that they are connected in some way and the mystery gets resolved by the end of the video.They communicate all the time. LA wants to play w/ DA, ball, chess, whatever... He likes DA, they both obviously have this urge to interact, he's reproachful and goes all "mother hen" with his tsk-tsking on DA. It's not the first time DA's been misbehaving:) All DA's tantrums are directed towards LA. He hates LAs puritanism, his "goody-two-shoes"iness and wants to corrupt him. Here's your book, I'm ripping it apart, you annoying little f***er, like he says. They annoy, but they don't hate each other. Far from it. But they are also physically connected, in spite of the thin glass dividing them. They share air, through joined air pipes. They are one , and even if they wanted, they couldn't live without each other. Which they don't want to begin with. The minute DA realises he's going to kill LA with fire induced lack of oxygen, he saves him. But he's also saving himself, and he knows it. It's not so noble a gesture as it is an intelligent one. If LA dies, he dies, too. The final image of the "third" Adam where DA and LA merge is not the ending of the video.It's actually the beginning of the whole story and the video just elaborates on it. Explains it. He's not the "third" Adam, he's the only one. The gorgeous, knee-buckling, stunningly handsome one. Beautifully said! I love your interpretation and especially agree with the highlighted parts. |

Finnish presidential election: It looks like we have a president named Sauli! The voting stopped 1 hour and 10 minutes ago and we have 97% of votes counted. Sauli has at the moment ~63% of the votes and Pekka ~37%.

I'm such a bad fan I would never call someone a bad fan but it is worth stopping to consider that although you say you are afraid of them hurting him by their comments in reality he already deals with these kind of comments all of the time and it is perhaps more that you will be hurt by their comments. Many times when we say we are protecting someone else in reality it is ourselves we are protecting. It is hard to have people criticize our likes especially when something is really important to us. But Adam has the courage to be out and proud and visible and speaks often of the importance of that visibility. Consider that perhaps what he really needs is for us to be visible as well. How can we justify being closeted fans when he is so out and open? Not saying we have to reveal the full depth of our stanning but surely just letting people know that we like his music is not too much? Everyone has to make their own choices as to what to reveal or not but I think it is important for us as fans to consider that the way to defeat the negativity that Adam is deluged with is to drown it out with love and support. You must do only what you are comfortable with in the end. Love and strength to you. |

I'm such a bad fan I have Adam as my Avi so if someone comes looking for me they will see it, and I don't feel the need to explain my obsession because none of the people I know have a life I would rather be living. You cannot explain things like a love for music, a love for the phenomenon that is Adam to others and the very few who have said something snide have been reminded that not everyone chooses to (fill in the blanks) - golf everyday, run a knitting store, wait on a husband, etc, The patience and tact of my youth seems to have evaporated and being blunt is now serving me very well. |
