This is exactly why I never "like" it. I do not want that all shows on facebook page. 8-) I'm so ashamed to say that but I personally have a problem with revealing my AL obsession. It really bothers me because I love him very much but I worry my friends would hurt him by some very 'funny' comments. Maybe I'm totally shallow but that's because Adam is kinda controversial. Though, recently I've been thinking hard whether to take a risk and add his video to my FB page so others could see it... I'm such a bad fan This used to be me but I don't care anymore, I love him and want everyone to know it!

I've been thinking about the silent film aspect of the video since I saw the first 30 seconds where dark Adam is doing all these exaggerated, evil-villain expressions and movements. It especially reminds me of the vampire in Nosferatu (see 3:00-3:30). Compare with :25 and :31, in particular. Now I know I'm not alone. I found a comment on TWoP by Arjumand: I loved that too - DarkAdam's side reminded me very much of old silent vampire movies, like Nosferatu (and I just looked it up, so I guess I mean German expressionist horror, lol), and that's really why his expressions didn't bother me that much. It's very much in a silent movie aesthetic, with exaggerated expressions and deeply symbolic. forums.televisionwithoutpity.com/index.php?showtopic=3193196&st=13680

Finland will have a new president. Sauli Niinistö won the vote, he got 62.6% votes. Pekka Haavisto got 37.4% of the votes.

I'm so ashamed to say that but I personally have a problem with revealing my AL obsession. Though, recently I've been thinking hard whether to take a risk and add his video to my FB page so others could see it... I'm such a bad fan I would never call someone a bad fan but it is worth stopping to consider that although you say you are afraid of them hurting him by their comments in reality he already deals with these kind of comments all of the time and it is perhaps more that you will be hurt by their comments. Many times when we say we are protecting someone else in reality it is ourselves we are protecting. It is hard to have people criticize our likes especially when something is really important to us. But Adam has the courage to be out and proud and visible and speaks often of the importance of that visibility. Consider that perhaps what he really needs is for us to be visible as well. How can we justify being closeted fans when he is so out and open? Not saying we have to reveal the full depth of our stanning but surely just letting people know that we like his music is not too much? Everyone has to make their own choices as to what to reveal or not but I think it is important for us as fans to consider that the way to defeat the negativity that Adam is deluged with is to drown it out with love and support. You must do only what you are comfortable with in the end. Love and strength to you. Great advice - I am starting to post Adam videos on my Facebook pages - I am 'breaking it to them gently'. I think I'll be doing more and more of this, since it is such a big part of my life.

I'm such a bad fan It is not a question of good fan/bad fan, it is more of a personal decision. I am a rocker and a music snob and I have been hating on someone slighty related to idol-like TV shows and even with mainstream pop for years. I am pretty sure that me linking in FB Adam's music (more than once) raised some eyebrows. But, even from a music snob point of view...hell, dude can sing. And, more importantly, as time goes by I am less and less worried about what people think. Being alternative and cool is not that great. Being an Adam fan is much more fun!
